From Chico to Oroville to Paradise, our teens continue to show what’s possible through hard work, perseverance, and determination. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and the bright futures ahead of them. As they take the next step toward college, trade school, or the workforce, we know they are ready for what’s next.

The results are in… and we’re excited to announce 2026's Barrels, Bites, and Barrels winners!

🏆 Best Barrel: Congratulations to Long Creek Winery and Ranch for taking home the top honor among our beverage participants! A special shout out to Roney Wines for being a close runner-up.

🏆 Best Bite: Safire Steakhouse from Gold Country Casino Resort wowed guests with their unforgettable birria tacos, earning this year’s Best Bite award! Close behind was One Paradise To Another LLC. with their delicious malasadas.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible vendors and donors who made last Friday’s event such a success. Every barrel and every bite helped create an unforgettable evening in support of the Teens and programs of our 3 Boys & Girls Clubs of Oroville. Cheers to making a difference together!

Barrels, Bites & Bounty is almost here… and the lineup is something to be excited about.

From bold flavors to local favorites, this year’s food vendors are bringing a little bit of everything:
Long Creek Winery and Ranch , Safire Steak House at Gold Country Casino Resort , Juvenile Hall, Tong Fong Low - Oroville , Union Restaurant T4 Oroville , and Wagon Wheel Market el.

And what’s great food without something to sip?

Throwback 30 Years: We 💙 Our Volunteers!

For three decades, volunteers have been the steady hands and biggest cheerleaders behind so many moments at our Clubs.

From events to mentoring to jumping in wherever needed, they’ve shown up again and again with generosity and heart. We’ve been lucky to have so many be part of this story, each one helping shape the experiences that define our Clubs.

Today is Give Back Day at Dutch Bros Coffee in Oroville, Orland, Paradise & Gridley!

$1 from every drink sold will support Club kids and families across our communities!

We’re especially grateful to be selected for this year’s Give Back Day, this is the largest store participation we’ve received, and it means even more as we mark this milestone year.

Throwback Thirty Years!
Meet Shane. Shane first walked through the doors of the Boys & Girls Clubs as an 8th grader, where he found encouragement, mentorship, and opportunities that helped him grow into a leader. His dedication and character earned him the Youth of the Year title in both 2013 and 2014.

He later worked at the Oroville Teen Center and the Chico Teen Center, mentoring Club members and helping create the same supportive environment that once helped him. Every time that Shane is on leave, he makes sure to visit our Clubs to say hi to his past mentors and reconnect with our Club kids.

With big dreams of working in aviation, Shane set his sights on becoming an aircraft engineer. Today, he’s living that passion as an avionics technician serving in the U.S. Air Force. Shane reflects on how the Boys & Girls Clubs helped open doors and give him the confidence to pursue his goals.
