Come help us get water for the Dixie Fire volunteers transferred from Bidwell Parlor 21 to Congressman Doug LaMalfa at 1pm August 10th, tomorrow afternoon at the Parlor. We need to get the water transferred quickly so Doug can keep collecting donations elsewhere.

288 gallons of bottled water to be transferred from John Bidwell Parlor 21 to Congressman Doug LaMalfa at 1pm August 10th, tomorrow afternoon at the Parlor for him to deliver to Dixie Fire volunteers in Quincy. Come on down and help us make the move from our truck to his truck quick so he can keep collecting donations.

Grand Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West are coming to Feather Falls Casino in Oroville in less than three weeks!!!

First event will be an Off-Road Excursion to Lotts Lake, weather permitting, starting from Feather Falls Casino Parking Lot at 11am on Friday May 14th, and returning after an evening of bonfire and bbq under the stars, off road rock crawling, and good times Saturday afternoon May 15th.

Next event will be a Texas Hold em Poker Tournament hosted by Grand Organist Mark Spaugh of Georgetown Parlor 91, at our own Bidwell Parlor 21 in Downtown Oroville at 11am on Sunday May 16th.

Following the Poker Tournament on Sunday will be the Grand President’s Welcome Reception at 6pm on Sunday at Feather Falls Casino Ballroom.

Meetings will start at 10am on Monday May 17th, followed by a long overdue Memorial Service for our fallen brothers from the last two years at 3:30pm.

Then the Historical Preservation Foundation of the Native Sons of the Golden West will host a BBQ Dinner, live music and Historical Presentations at Riverbend Park on the beautiful Feather River in Downtown Oroville.

Tuesday Grand Parlor Meetings will gavel in at 9am and adjourn approximately 4pm, following a visitation by the Native Daughters of the Golden West and a return of a modified Cleft Palate Fundraising March to assist children with craniofacial anomalies.

At 5:30pm be ready for the Grand President’s cocktail prior to the Prime Rib Buffet Banquet at the Feather Falls Dreamcatcher Restaurant at the casino.

Wednesday the meetings will gavel back in at 9am and should adjourn by 12:30pm to allow the newly elected Candidates, including our own Grand Trustee Ethan Phillips and Argonaut Parlor’s Candidate for Grand Trustee Scott Kent Fowler, to get dressed in their black tie tuxedos for their official Grand Parlor Officers photographs and Installation at 1:30pm.

Finally, Ron Brocco, Newly Elected Grand President will host a St. Louis Style Rib and Chicken BBQ, cooked by the unbeatable Piedmont Parlor 120 team at Riverbend Park at 2:30pm. Come out and congratulate the 145th Grand President and stay for Bidwell Parlor 21’s 6pm Stated Meeting at the Park!!!!

Bidwell 21 is preparing the Parlor at 1332 Huntoon for potential evacuees. Please contact is here, if you can loan/donate some pillows, cots, airbeds and blankets. We do not believe these will be used tonight, but we are preparing for the days ahead.
With luck, the Firefighters will have the upper hand on this disaster soon.
