The Hope Center exists to be ground zero for hope in times of crisis and in everyday life. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding lives and restoring communities—right from the center of the storm. What started as a simple way to keep our community informed has become a growing family of people who believe that hope is worth sharing.

Tuesday through Friday, our warehouse comes alive with opportunity.

Because of incredible partnerships with local grocery stores, food distributors, organizations, and generous community supporters, the Hope Center is able to provide a wide variety of food to help families stretch their grocery budget.

Every day is different. One day it may be fresh produce, another day meat, dairy, bakery items, prepared meals, or other grocery essentials. Since our inventory changes constantly based on donations, we aren't able to answer questions about what will be available on any given day.

The best way to benefit is to visit regularly.

If you stop by consistently, you'll find opportunities to supplement your pantry, reduce grocery costs, and make your food dollars go further.

We are so thankful for every partner who helps make this possible and for every volunteer who gives their time to serve our community with dignity and hope.

Commodity Food Distribution is this Wednesday, July 22, beginning at 8:30 AM at the Hope Center, 2620 S. 5th Ave., Oroville.

Food will be distributed until it is gone, so we encourage everyone to arrive early. Please bring your own bags or boxes to help transport your food.

This distribution is open to the community while supplies last. We look forward to serving you and your family.

The Hope Center is more than a food distribution. We are a place of hope.

Every day, we have the privilege of serving some of the most vulnerable individuals and families in Butte County. We meet basic human needs by providing nutritious food, clothing, showers, laundry, meals, and compassionate support, but we don't stop there.

We believe lasting change happens through partnership. That's why we work alongside local nonprofits, churches, healthcare providers, and government agencies to connect people with the resources they need. Together, we care for the whole person, not just the immediate need.

At ground zero, where crisis meets compassion, hope begins.

The Hope Center is open Tuesday through Friday, beginning at 9:00 AM.

With the summer heat upon us, there may be days when we need to close earlier than usual to protect the health and safety of our volunteers, staff, and guests.

If you plan to visit on a hot day, we encourage you to come as early as possible to ensure you are able to receive services before any early closure becomes necessary.

With summer heat upon us, there will be days when we need to close early to ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff.

Today, July 14, is one of those days.

Due to excessive heat inside the Hope Center warehouse, we have made the decision to close early. The well-being of those who faithfully serve our community must always come first.

If you're coming through for food distribution, be sure to pick up milk while supplies last. We are grateful for every opportunity to provide fresh, nutritious food to our community.

As our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, we are reminded how grateful we are for the opportunity to serve our community. The Hope Center exists because of neighbors helping neighbors, and we are thankful for every volunteer, donor, and family who is part of that mission.

Please note our holiday schedule:

Thursday, July 2: Closed

Friday, July 3: Open for Food Distribution and Lunch. We will close at 11:00 AM following food distribution and lunch service.

We will resume our regular schedule on Tuesday, July 7.

Food will be available while supplies last. We encourage participants to arrive early.
