We've had a few questions about our Amazon links, so I wanted to explain that there are two different ways to reach our wishlist and support Avenue Katz Rescue.

The first option is our direct Amazon Wishlist link. This takes you straight to the items we need for the kittens and cats in our care. If you'd like to purchase supplies directly from the wishlist, you can use this link.

The second option is our Support & Shop fundraising link. We understand that this option can sometimes be a little confusing, but it's actually a wonderful fundraising tool for the rescue. When you use this link, a percentage of qualifying purchases is donated back to Avenue Katz Rescue by Amazon. It does not cost you anything extra. There are no additional fees, charges, or hidden costs.

The great thing is that it doesn't have to be a wishlist item or even a cat-related purchase. Whether you're buying something for the rescue, your household, a gift, or something for yourself, a portion of eligible purchases made through the fundraising link helps support the rescue.

It's simply another way for Avenue Katz Rescue to raise funds through Amazon while you shop as you normally would.

No matter which link you use, thank you for supporting the kittens and cats who depend on us every day. Your support helps provide food, litter, medical care, and so much more. ❤️🐾

We have been so busy at Avenue Katz Rescue that we simply can't contain our excitement any longer—we finally have to share these updated pictures!

First, thank you to everyone who has shown these kittens love and support. Your donations, shares, kind words, and encouragement have made a tremendous difference and are helping these babies thrive.

The kittens that came to us severely anemic are doing amazingly well. Their gums have turned a healthy pink, they are gaining weight, they've been dewormed, and they are now full of life and energy. Watching their transformation has been incredible.

These little ones are now eating 16 cans of food every day! They are also almost completely finished with Step 2 formula and are eating dry food like absolute champs. It has been so exciting to watch their progress and celebrate each milestone they achieve. While some of their development may have been delayed due to their difficult start in life, they are right on track to becoming healthy, happy cats as if nothing ever happened.

Because of your generous donations and support, we have also been able to continue our mission beyond just caring for these kittens. We have been able to trap and alter moms and dads, helping stop the cycle of homelessness one cat at a time. We have also been able to get kittens adopted into loving homes, creating much-needed space so we can continue taking in new kittens that desperately need help. Every donation directly impacts the lives of cats and kittens in our community and allows Avenue Katz Rescue to keep moving forward.

While I work hard every day to care for these little ones, their success is also because of all of you. Your support helps me keep pushing forward and ensures these kittens have the food, supplies, and medical care they need to thrive.

If you would like to continue supporting these kittens and the new kittens arriving at the rescue, we would be incredibly grateful. We are currently running low on kitten food and kitten wipes, and any help makes a huge difference.

You can help by purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List or Walmart Registry, or by sending a donation through Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Every donation goes directly toward the care of the kittens and cats depending on us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping not only this litter but all the kittens and cats currently at Avenue Katz Rescue. The love and support we've received has truly been a blessing.

Here are some updated pictures of the kittens rescued in April and May, along with a few of the lucky kittens who found their forever homes through adoption in May. Just look at how far they've come! ❤️🐾

Avenue Katz Rescue is currently looking for experienced fosters as we continue receiving more calls about moms with kittens needing safe placement. We are especially looking for fosters who can take in a mama cat and her litter until the babies are fully weaned, usually around 8 weeks old.

For the first few weeks, mama does most of the work. Fosters mainly help by providing a safe, quiet environment, keeping mama fed, monitoring the kittens’ growth, and making sure everyone stays healthy and thriving.

We are also looking for experienced bottle feeders for orphaned kittens who require around-the-clock bottle feeding and care. Bottle babies are a huge commitment, so we are only seeking those with prior experience.

Fostering is one of the best ways to help a rescue without making a permanent commitment. Most foster situations last about 4–8 weeks. We do our best to provide supplies and continue helping with items needed throughout the foster period.

Right now, we also have:
• 4–5 young kittens needing socialization and hands-on attention
• A mother cat who recently gave birth outdoors and urgently needs a safe indoor space for her and her babies

If you are experienced and interested in helping, please send us a message and we will provide our foster application. This is a wonderful way to support rescue efforts, gain hands-on experience, and help save lives.

If you have any questions, please message me directly.

Thank you so much to everyone who continues to support Avenue Katz Rescue.

It’s been such a rough 48 hours. I’m exhausted, and I’m still not done!

Two days ago, I received a phone call from Kristi Huffman begging for help for a woman she found on Nextdoor. This poor lady had every good intention in the world, but the situation quickly became more than she could handle.

Over the last four to five weeks, multiple cats gave birth inside this lady’s home while she was trying to care for them. Unfortunately, the kittens became severely infested with fleas. Every single one of them is anemic, with some of the whitest gums I have ever seen. Each one also has diarrhea, and every case looks different, making it obvious we are dealing with multiple issues — coccidia, parasites, possibly giardia, flea anemia, malnourishment, and more.

It is going to be a very rough few weeks for these kittens.

What started as a call for help for 8 kittens quickly turned into 14. I am beyond grateful that two of my fosters stepped up to take half of them, helping lighten the load so we could say yes to these babies.

Two of the kittens were also found with injuries. One is missing a paw, and another only has half of a tail. Thankfully, both injuries appear to have healed, but we definitely want to have them fully evaluated to determine the extent of the damage and make sure nothing will cause them issues later in life.

I don’t think there’s a single spot on my body that hasn’t been bitten by fleas, and I can’t even imagine the discomfort these kittens have been living through. Right now, I’m focused on getting every flea off of them, getting good food in their bellies, and making sure they each get at least one round of dewormer so they can finally rest peacefully tonight.

Please keep these babies in your prayers as we work through the next several weeks of treatment and recovery.

I’ve added several much-needed items to our Amazon wishlist and Walmart registry to help these 14 kittens heal and eventually make it to their forever homes. It’s going to be a long, bumpy road, but with your prayers, support, and a whole lot of hard work, I truly believe we can get them there. 🐾

Dear Darko, You can lie about anything, and I don’t care about that. But the one thing you are NOT going to lie about is me finding that cat in your garage — along with other cats in that garage. Here’s the video. Hope you enjoy it. Bet you didn’t think I had evidence.

And not once did I blame your ex-wife. I never said her name, never said “your wife,” because she’s your EX-wife. Pretty sure she moved on because she was smart enough to.

The house looks like that because there’s no power and no water, no5 much different then when you were living there! Those cats WERE fed and were being fed the entire time you were away and the entire time you were in jail. Not by you — by everybody else who actually cared enough to step up and care for them!

Not once did any of your followers come up with a plan arranged by you to feed those cats. Other people made sure they survived. You were too busy getting donations for your car insurance, which should never come from donations. Donations are for the cats!!

So keep pointing the finger all you want, but eventually you need to turn that finger around and point it right back at yourself.
