Ten years ago, Tobey became more than a dog to me. He became my reason to keep going.

Every dark night. Every hard morning. Every moment I wanted to quit, he was there.

This is what a service dog does. This is what Pop Smoke K9 makes possible for veterans who need exactly what I needed.

Help us give someone else their Tobey. Donate at www.popsmokek9forveterans.org

251 years ago today, the Continental Army was established. No budget. No uniforms. No guarantee it would work. Just men who decided the fight was worth it anyway.

That same DNA is in every soldier who raised their right hand after them. The mission changes. The equipment changes. The country they’re defending changes. What doesn’t change is the willingness to stand between harm and home.

Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Army. The ones who served, the ones still serving, and the ones who didn’t come home, you are not forgotten.

Meet Cheyenne.

She came to us as a retired British red lab, a true momma dog with more litters under her belt than we can count. When she arrived at Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans, it was clear she had given everything she had. So we gave her a new title: Kennel Ambassador.

Cheyenne is the soul of our facility. Every new dog that walks through our doors is greeted by her gentle presence. She loves nothing more than a good pet, a slow scratch behind the ears, and the company of the pups she watches over. At 9 years old, she is still showing up every single day for this mission.

Recently, a spot appeared on her tongue. It came back as cancer.

She is waiting on further testing now, and her surgery is going to cost $1,000. For a nonprofit that runs entirely on the generosity of people who believe in what we do, that is not a small ask. But Cheyenne has never asked for anything. She just gives.

If you have ever visited our kennel, you already know her. You know the way she leans into your hand and looks up at you like you are the whole world.

Now it is our turn to show up for her.

Every dollar helps. Share this post, donate what you can, and help us keep our girl here a little longer.

Visit www.popsmokek9forveterans.org to donate for Cheyenne today. She is worth it.

We love you, Cheyenne. 🐾

In loving memory of Ed. 🐾

Ed was a veteran. Molly was his service dog. But she was so much more than that. She was his shadow. His strength. His reason to keep going.

Together they changed lives just by showing up for each other every single day.

Though Ed is gone, his story lives on. And it is why we fight every day at Pop Smoke K9 For Veterans to make sure no veteran walks alone.

Please share this post and help us honor Ed’s memory by giving another veteran their own Molly.

Eight days in the hospital. He never left. He never judged. He just loved.

“He wasn’t just there. He was my peace.”

At Pop Smoke K9 For Veterans, we match veterans with life changing service dogs because NO veteran should face their battles alone.

If Tobey’s story moved you, please share this post and help us reach more veterans who need a Tobey of their own. And if you’re able, a donation big or small changes everything.

81 years ago today, brave men jumped out of boats and ran straight into fire on the beaches of Normandy. No hesitation. No retreat. Just pure courage and love of country. As someone who has worn the uniform and felt the cost of service firsthand, I want to take a moment to say thank you to every man who fought on June 6, 1944. Your sacrifice built the foundation of freedom we stand on today. Please take a moment today to remember them. Share this post. Say their names. Keep their memory alive. 🙏🇺🇸

Meet Scout.

He’s stepping into some very big paw prints, following my boy Tobey, one of the best and smartest dogs I’ve ever known. Tobey set the bar high, and I know Scout is going to rise to every bit of it as we train and grow together.

I am beyond honored and grateful to Iris Aisling Labs for trusting me with one of their incredible pups. The love and dedication they put into raising these dogs is something truly special, and Scout is proof of that.

Here’s to a new chapter, new lessons, new memories, and a bond that’s just getting started. Iris Aisling’s Labradors

Welcome home, Scout. Let’s get to work.

Meet Jill & Enoch a partnership that guides, protects, and empowers.

Enoch isn’t just Jill’s guide dog. He reminds her to take her medication, alerts her before a seizure occurs, retrieves her medical alert box, opens doors, and gives her something priceless: her confidence and independence back.

Because of Enoch, Jill is living a life she thought was no longer possible. She’s a dispatcher again. She’s giving back to her community. She is unstoppable.

Every service dog changes two lives: the veteran’s and the dog’s. But none of it happens without YOUR support. Jill Dempsey

June is PTSD Awareness Month.

Not all wounds are visible.

Every day, countless veterans carry the weight of trauma long after their service ends. PTSD is not a sign of weakness. It is a battle that many continue to fight long after coming home.

At Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans, we believe no veteran should face that battle alone. Through the life changing bond between veterans and service dogs, we help provide support, companionship, purpose, and hope.

This month, stand with our veterans. Learn the signs. Start the conversation. Break the stigma.

Because healing begins when we show up for one another.

💚 Honor Their Service.
💚 Support Their Healing.
💚 Stand By Their Side.
