EightCAP is grateful to MyMichigan Health for a generous $2,500 grant to support transportation assistance for Isabella County residents who need help getting to medical appointments.

These funds will help provide gas cards, fuel assistance, and public transportation support—helping remove transportation barriers so individuals can access the health care they need.

We appreciate MyMichigan Health’s investment in our community and their partnership in helping our neighbors stay healthy and connected to care.

Our Ionia 0-5 Head Start Center recently got two new sandboxes, and we couldn’t be more excited! ⛱️

Special thanks to Head Start Director Janel, Operations Supervisor Jeremy, CL Trucking & Excavating, Ms. Anne, Ms. Jess, and Kevin Rowley for making this possible. It was a team effort with support from our community, and our students are already having so much fun!

The Volunteers in Action at The Gathering Place are seeking donations for upcoming packing projects, including supplies for their adult meal kits and regular and travel sized personal care items.

Requested items:
- Hormel Compleats meals
- Applesauce
- Fruit Cups
- Pudding Cups
- Soft Breakfast Bars
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Body Wash
- Soap
- Lotion

📍Donations can be dropped off every Monday from 1-3 p.m. at 120 W Grove St. Greenville, MI 48838. Other arrangements for drop-off can be made by calling or texting 616-894-2422.

After staying at RAVE for months, a family in Ionia County was recently able to start their new beginning by working with EightCAP’s Community Services and Housing departments to secure safe, permanent housing.

To help the family get settled, EightCAP provided them with Fresh Start Kits with items designed to fill their home and make the transition easier and more comfortable. Overwhelmed with gratitude, the mom was in tears as she shared that she could not thank our team enough for helping them achieve stability and make a fresh start in their new home.

This family’s story demonstrates the meaningful impact that coordinated services and community support can have on families transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.
