We are still represented by the District 2 office until the newly elected District 7 Commissioner begins his or her term in November 2026.

We look forward to meeting Mike Crabb, and know that he will work hard to serve the residents of District 2 during his appointment term.

So many civic-minded residents from Huntley Park, Lockhart, Long Lake Hills, Long Lake Shores, N. Pine Hills Rd, Quail Ridge, and South Apopka came out today to clean up the intersection of Clarcona-Ocoee Rd & Hiawassee Rd and the neighborhood entrances on Lake Sparling Rd and Redbone Ln.

Many thanks to them and to Joy Goodyear, candidate for Orange County Judge - Group 17, her family, and Angie Gardner, candidate for Orange County Commissioner - District 7, for joining POCO's cleanup in peak Florida heat and humidity.

We also celebrated the recent installation of POCO's Adopt A County Road signage at the NE corner of Hiawassee Rd & Clarcona-Ocoee Rd and Long Rd & Clarcona-Ocoee Rd. The minimum segment is half a mile, and POCO has committed to six cleanups a year for two years along this lengthy 2.6 mile stretch of road.

People of Clarcona-Ocoee 501c3 (POCO) is having a community cleanup this Saturday (7/25).

Please join us in our efforts to show pride in our area by helping pick up trash and trim overgrown areas. Bring grabbers and trimming tools if you have them.

Time: 8am-11am this Saturday, 7/25
Location: SE intersection of Hiawassee and Clarcona-Ocoee Rd. A table with sign-up sheet will be near the Walgreens' entrance on Clarcona-Ocoee Rd.

Our group will also be cleaning up the areas north on Lake Sparling Rd and by the Quail Ridge entrance at Redbone Lane, but we'll meet at Walgreens first.

Thank you to the residents from Huntley Park, Long Lake Hills, Long Lake Shores, Quail Ridge, North Pine Hills, and North Hiawassee Road neighborhoods for attending our monthly meeting earlier this evening.

Also in attendance were Joy Goodyear, who is running for Orange County Judge - Group 17, and Angie Gardner and Vicki Vargo, who are both running for County Commissioner - District 7.

The FL Primary Election is on Tuesday, August 18, so now is the time to mail your ballot to make your voice heard and your vote count!
