10 Universities, 10 new REU scholars, and one shared mission of ! We’re thrilled to be able to welcome these new NSF scholars into the lab and help them reach for the stars this semester!

Seeing how far our UCF mission has reached and meeting other students from around the country eager to help drive our research further is such an amazing feeling! We can’t wait to follow their work over the summer and highlight all of their progress!

Kids bring so much energy and creativity to our lab 💡🎨

This semester, we had three schools join us for field trips through ENGAGE, our K-12 STEAM program—and it’s always a highlight!

From designing custom arm sleeves and foam hands to creating their own video game levels, students get a hands‑on look at how art, engineering, and technology come together to make a real impact 🦾

We love seeing their ideas come to life and inspiring the next generation of artists, scientists, and innovators.

We are proud of the impact these students have had in the lab, at UCF, and beyond. Last month, “Limbitless Unboxing” had its public debut at the largest game developers conference in the world. 🎮

Over spring break, Limbitless scholars Joaquin Royer, Donny Akers, and Garrett Oliver presented Limbitless’ newest game at the 2026 Game Developers Conference. They got to travel to San Francisco alongside .edu professors Matt Dombrowski and Peter Smith and speak with industry professionals about the use of alternative controllers in gaming.

Join us in congratulating these three scholars for their success at GDC! One step at a time, Limbitless’ Games Team is showing the world that accessibility is the true game-changer. 🦾
