Downtown Orlando Tours is a collaborative initiative created in 2015 by the Downtown Orlando Partnership. The tours offered encourage residents and visitors to experience the vibrant food, art and cultural scene offered by the downtown district. Each tour is hosted by a local organization and partners including the Downtown Orlando Partnership, Downtown Arts District and Downtown Development Board
. About the Partners:
The Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP), a non-profit association whose mission is to enhance business and community relationships through collaborative events and initiatives. Founded in 1961 by business merchants, the DOP serves as the chamber of commerce for the district. The Downtown Arts District is a dedicated nonprofit organization for advancing arts and economic development in the City of Orlando. Established in 2000, the Arts District represents and serves the arts community by through signature programming and public art projects. Their mission is to lead, stimulate, and guide the development of a vibrant, innovative arts and cultural district that enhances economic development in Downtown Orlando. Created by a special act of the legislature in 1971, the City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board (DDB) serves as the agency responsible for the revitalization of the City’s core area. The mission of the Orlando DDB is to strengthen the role of Downtown Orlando as the economic, governmental and cultural center of Central Florida. The DDB is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of the City’s core area redevelopment and development program.
