Yesterday, The Cloud Family Foundation hosted our first Youth Men Collective at Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
We brought together leaders from across Central Florida with one goal: to have an open and intentional conversation about how we can show up more, work together more effectively, and build stronger partnerships to support the young men in our communities.
The discussion was meaningful, honest, and necessary. One thing became clear—we need more of these conversations and more opportunities to turn conversations into collaboration and action.
We’re especially thankful to Commissioner Shan Rose for joining the conversation and sharing her perspective on the needs she sees within our community. Having the voice of one of our city leaders at the table helped strengthen the discussion and reminded us why collaboration across organizations, communities, and government matters.
This was only the beginning.
If you are a community leader, educator, mentor, nonprofit professional, youth advocate, or simply someone committed to creating better opportunities for young men in Central Florida, we invite you to join the conversation.
