In the summer of 2025, Jack Russell Park hosted its very first Youth Tennis Summer Camp and the results were nothing short of amazing. Over three weeks, more than 20 young players learned the fundamentals of tennis, with many picking up a racket for the very first time.
The camp was made possible through a grant from the USTA Florida Foundation, and the community response was overwhelmingly positive. Families are already looking forward to 2026 and so are we!

Is Your Tennis Program Ready to Grow? 🎾

The USTA Florida Section Foundation is thrilled to announce that the 2026 Spring Grant Cycle is now open! From now until May 14, Florida-based non-profits, public schools, and parks departments can apply for up to $15,000 in funding.

We are specifically looking to support:
✅ Youth Tennis Initiatives
✅ Adaptive & Wheelchair Programming
✅ Community Outreach & Equipment Needs

The USTA Florida Foundation is joining forces with Tennis For Hope and Racquet War to launch Rally for Florida, a statewide fundraising initiative dedicated to helping Florida’s tennis community recover from natural disasters.

This 6-location event series combines high-energy competition with a great cause. Your participation helps us rebuild and restore the game we love.

Thanks to the support of the USTA Florida Section Foundation, the Plantation Tennis Wheelchair Program is proving that tennis is truly a sport for everyone.

This year, the program:
✅ Expanded access and purchased equipment
✅ Brought the community together through events
✅ Showcased the talents of wheelchair athletes at an exhibition with over 50 attendees

With support from a USTA Florida Foundation Program Support Grant, Horizon High School has:

🔹 Hosted youth camps led by student-athletes
🔹 Expanded access with new ball machines & windscreens
🔹 Inspired over 60 students to try out for the team
🔹 Built a championship culture with their undefeated girls’ team

As Team Captain Giovana shared, “We were able to teach and encourage the sport we love… and it also helped us learn more about leadership.” 💙

We had the privilege of visiting the IF You Foundation headquarters and witnessing the powerful ways they’re making a difference in our community.

Every Monday, the Foundation hosts free tennis programs at Lake Cane Tennis Center, welcoming more than 100 players to learn, connect, and grow through the sport we all love. 🎾
