Let’s talk REALISTIC snacks 👇🏽

This snack tray gives me about 16–18g of protein, and honestly… that’s a WIN.

Not every snack has to be perfect — it just has to be better than grabbing chips or skipping meals altogether.

✔️ Quick to put together
✔️ Balanced (protein + carbs + healthy fats)
✔️ Keeps you going during busy shifts

💡 Protein is important for healthy eating and weight loss — it helps keep you full longer, supports muscle, and prevents those energy crashes during your shift.

This is how I stay fueled and focused without overcomplicating things 💛

Governor Tony Evers signed a bill expanding postpartum Medicaid coverage from 60 days to 12 months for low-income moms.

Wisconsin had been one of just two states to not provide 12 months’ worth of coverage.

The Day No Nurses Showed Up

7 a.m.
Hospital lights on.
But the halls?
Empty.

No nurses came.

Why?
Because their degrees were called “not professional.”
Because staffing is unsafe.
Because the pay is insulting.

And today—
the world felt the consequences.

In the hospital:
No reports.
No vitals.
No meds.
Monitors screaming.
Doctors frozen.
Units falling apart.

In doctor’s offices:
Packed waiting rooms.
But no triage.
No labs.
No injections.
Appointments collapsing.

In nursing homes:
Meds late.
Breathing treatments missed.
Residents calling for help—
and no one coming.

In jails:
Detox shaking.
Diabetics missing insulin.
Chest pains ignored.
No nurse to assess anyone.

In schools:
Nurse’s office locked.
A kid with an asthma attack.
Another with seizures.
A diabetic alarm blaring.
No trained help.

By noon—
the system broke.

Ambulances stacked.
ERs overflowing.
Simple problems turned into emergencies.

And suddenly—
everyone understood.

Nurses aren’t “assistants.”
They aren’t “non-professional.”
They are the backbone of healthcare.

And without nurses—
even for one day—
everything collapses.

Respect nurses.
Staff safely.
Pay fairly.
Before there are none left.

Shared from another nurse… broke my heart reading this so I had to pass on!
