Year-end performance reviews have a predictable problem.
By December, most people remember the last six weeks better than the first six months.

The complicated project you rescued in February?

The Women’s Leadership Impact Initiative is seeking candidates for its 2027–2030 Board of Directors as the organization enters its next period of growth.

WLII’s current Board brings together professional women from different industries, generations and backgrounds to guide its work developing women and creating community impact.

We are looking for candidates prepared to contribute more than a title.
We want judgment.
Experience.
Perspective.
Curiosity.
Relationships.

And a genuine willingness to participate.

The best outcome from a networking event is rarely the number of business cards you collect.

It is the person you still know six months later.
The woman you call when you need an introduction.
The person who sends you an opportunity because she remembered what you were building.
The founder who becomes a client.
The executive who recommends you.
The professional who eventually becomes a collaborator, mentor, friend or business partner.

That is the difference between meeting people and building a network.
WLII events bring together women from different industries, generations and stages of their professional lives because the most useful connection is not always the obvious one.

Sometimes it happens during the program.
Quite often, it happens after.

Philanthropy has an image problem.
The word often brings to mind enormous checks, black-tie galas and names engraved on buildings.
But most impact is not created that way.
It is created when ordinary people decide that something they care about deserves resources.

Twenty dollars.
Fifty dollars.
A monthly gift.
A contribution after a good year in business.
A donation made because another woman once gave you an opportunity and you would like to create one for someone else.

There is no minimum level of wealth required to become someone who gives.
At the Women’s Leadership Impact Initiative, donations help sustain work centered on leadership development, education, mentorship, professional opportunity and community engagement for women in Central Florida. Women's Leadership

You may not be able to fund an entire program.
You do not need to.
A healthy nonprofit is built when enough people decide the mission is worth participating in.
