Orlando Outreachers is dedicated to enriching the lives of both the volunteer community, and the community of individuals who are struggling with the social issues of our time. Whether we’re working with children with special needs, survivors of domestic violence, the homeless, elderly, disabled, or cleaning the environment - we want to bring love, compassion, and support to these causes through v
olunteer opportunities in which people can come together and have a more personal, rewarding experience lending their time, attention, wisdom, and love to others in need. Selflessness is a key factor in friendship, marriage, relationships and community. It is also a very overlooked factor is the successful pursuit of happiness and fulfillment in one's life. On the surface, it appears to run contrary to the idea of pursuing your own happiness; isn’t the pursuit of happiness in its very nature selfish? It doesn’t have to be. Our lives can be lived for any number of purposes - Orlando Outreachers and the Outreachers Society has chosen to live our lives in the pursuit of justice, happiness, and growth for others. We CAN live to solve the social problems we encounter every day. We CAN dedicate ourselves to advancing certain ideals to create a new kind of community. But, we can only do this when we embrace service and selflessness - that is when we can make a lasting significance in our community, and in our world.
