Exciting news from our Minnesota friends!

Exciting news from our Minnesota friends!

New name, same Irish spirit.

For more than four decades, our community has gathered on Harriet Island to celebrate Irish music, culture, and craic together. Today we’re excited to share the next chapter of that tradition.

The Irish Fair of Minnesota is becoming the Twin Cities Irish Fest!

Why the change? Our new name reflects the vibrant, growing Irish community across both Minneapolis and Saint Paul while honoring the festival you’ve loved for generations. You’ll still find the same incredible music, dance, culture, food, and family fun along the Mississippi River — just with a name that better captures the energy of the entire Twin Cities. And there’s more good news…

🎟️ Tickets go on sale March 13 at www.twincitiesirishfest.com

Mark your calendars and get ready for another unforgettable weekend of Irish music, culture, and celebration.

Sláinte to the next chapter! ☘️

The Irish festival community had lost a good one. Donovan was the guy you couldn’t wait to see at a conference, a festival, anywhere you were lucky to be in his presence.

Michigan Irish Music Festival our thoughts are with you and his family during this difficult time.

Our community is rocked by the sudden passing of treasured servant leader, Kevin Donovan. The Michigan Irish Music Festival mourns the loss of our immediate past president and long-time Site Co-Director who dedicated 22 years of service to our mission. Our global community is grieving his loss. His family and friendships transcend over the Atlantic, making an impact on the continuation of Irish culture and heritage, leaving a ripple of impact on all who knew him.

To know Kevin was to know his quick wit, with a dead-pan delivery and a wry smile. We hold tight to the many memories made in the name of always making his community better. His leadership with the Muskegon Irish American Society helped form the Michigan Irish American Hall of Fame, recognizing Michigan leaders with Irish lineage. Last year, Kevin was caught by surprise when he was inducted at last year's festival.

Kevin left a legacy we plan to continue in his honor and memory, carrying on the "ripple in still water when there is no pebble tossed nor wind to blow." He will always be a part of us.

Til we meet again, friend.
