OrangeTree Deals is a local online marketplace and neighborhood where both buyers and sellers can list items that they wish to buy or sell. Buyers and sellers are registered users who are giving a verification rating by their local OrangeTree Deals franchise. The verification rating is based on the amount of user information that has been independently verified. Each OrangeTree Deals location has
a manager of the franchise who makes sure that the users are real live users with real information. The objective is to build an online community or neighborhood that trades items locally and reduces waste and eliminates the need for shipping costs. Affiliates in each local franchise help buyers and sellers list and find deals and sell their items locally online. OrangeTree Deals also provides a place where sellers can create storefronts called OrangeStands to showcase their items that they have listed on OrangeTree Deals. OrangeStands connect with social media sites such as pages to help promote their items to followers. Most importantly is rebuilding neighborhoods that communicate and help each other as well as watch out for each other. The theory is that a strong community and neighborhood increases property values, reduces violent and property crime and adds longevity by creating a safer more secure environment.
