A great way to set everyone up for a successful school year is to provide teachers, faculty, and staff with an “All About Me.” We at Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children recommend making additional copies and ensuring all that work or come into contact with your child receive one. *Bonus Tip* Also attach your student's IEP/504.

Collaborative Corner for Exceptional Children had the pleasure of hosting the sensory tent at today’s Step Up for Down Syndrome Buddy Walk organized by The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.

Special thanks to Cole for being CC’s newest Events Facilitator. The humidity and heat at 6 am was off the charts but we survived!

We can’t wait to come back next year!

Mark your calendars! Join us on February 25th, from 1PM - 4PM, at the Clermont Historical Village for the Read to Sydney community event celebrating Toby's retirement!

If you're reading this, you're all too familiar with the challenges our exceptional children face when learning to read. Read to Sydney is a nonprofit organization that provides our children with a comfortable and accepting space for all learners.

With their accredited and trained therapy dogs, Read to Sydney has supported our community for 12 years. By reading to a trained therapy dog, children with autism and varying exceptionalities elevate their self-esteem, provide comfort, reinforce learning, and motivate speech and language.

This will be an exciting event for our children to participate in fun activities and celebrate Toby's retirement!

We hope to see you there!
