Thanks to EVERYONE who showed up tonight for the Legionnaires Saturday- Pizza and Poker! It was a HIT! A good time was had by ALL! New faces, old faces.... we ALL had a good time.

Comradery means a strong sense of trust, friendship, and shared community among people in a group. It often builds when people work together, face tough challenges, or share the same goals.

The Auxiliary will be having our Monthly Dinner tonight, Saturday, August 8th, from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM — or until it’s GONE! 😋

What a great crowd at tonight's American Legion General Meeting! It was wonderful to see some new faces, members we haven't seen in a while, and, of course, our regulars. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated.

Our American Legion General Meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, July 21, at 7:00 p.m.

Please plan to arrive on time, as we'll have a representative joining us to discuss an upcoming road project that will impact our Post and the surrounding area. This is a great opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and share any concerns you may have.

🎉 What a great crowd so far at American Legion Post 242!

🩸 The OneBlood Bus is FULL and already has a waiting list! They'll be here until 7:00 PM, so if you're on the list, be sure to stick around.

🍖 The BBQ and all the fixin's are hot, fresh, and delicious, and Brittany is keeping the cold drinks flowing!

🎶 Zack Bicknell is on the mic, providing great entertainment until 7:00 PM.

It's not too late to come out, enjoy some great food and music, and spend the evening with us. We'd love to see you at Post 242!

Important Lounge Hours Update

Effective Monday, July 13, American Legion Post 242 will have new temporary Lounge hours. The Lounge will be open 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday, instead of opening at noon.

The Post will still open at noon on July 18th for the Early Membership Drive as well as open at noon on July 26th for Riders meeting.

This decision was made during the Lounge Committee Meeting on Tuesday, July 7, where the committee—comprised of representatives from all four Legion families (Legionnaires, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and Riders)—voted unanimously to adjust the Lounge hours due to financial considerations.

We understand this change may be an adjustment, and it was not a decision that was made lightly. The revised hours will be reassessed in mid-August to determine whether they should remain in place or if the Lounge should return to opening at noon.

We also value your input. A suggestion box will be placed near the Pull Tabs at the Post. The Commander will personally review all suggestions on a weekly basis. If you have concerns, we respectfully ask that you also include any ideas or recommendations that could help improve the Post and its operations.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of American Legion Post 242. We are all working together with the shared goal of ensuring the long-term success and financial health of our Post.
