Arnold Palmer was a dedicated Freemason who was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 1959 at Loyalhanna Lodge No. 275 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania; he exemplified Masonic principles, such as philanthropy, integrity, and relief, throughout his life. Brother Palmer was a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, receiving the 33° Scottish Rite distinction in 1997 and the esteemed Gourgas Medal in 2010. Palmer's Masonic legacy is deeply intertwined with his extensive charitable endeavors, notably his support for the March of Dimes and the establishment of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando, Florida. He embodied the fundamental Masonic principle of charity through his nonprofit organization, Arnie's Army. Well done, Brother, well done!
