IT’S 👏🏼 NOT 👏🏼 ABOUT 👏🏼 THE 👏🏼 CROWN 👏🏼
We are in LOVE with this photo of Royal Intl Miss Role Model MS Crowning Moment and it’s one of our favourites from this year - but you might ask, why? She’s from Scotland, not Australia?
Teachable moment:
At Royal, and especially with our Royal International Miss Australia program, it’s not about the win. Never has, never will be. For us, it’s about the experience. The friendships. The growth. The personal bests. The determination. The goal chasing…
and this photo shows all of that.
This incredible shot captures Nicole Anderson winning moment after 5 years of determination, but it also captures something even more special: It captures her sister queen and 1st Runner Up Samantha Johnson jumping up in excitement for her because her sisters win is her own; and the Aussies in the back: it shows her best friend ✨Emma Connor✨ screaming from the back of the stage because she has also spent 4 years working towards the same goal but has the same happiness for her friend as she would herself, and it captures Karlee | Royal International Miss Ms Outback Australia who is new to RIM this year but knows just how much work and dedication this moment requires and is completely thrilled for Nicole and her moment.
This photo shows the best part of pageantry and the beauty of what it can be when we set aside egos and competition and focus on relationships, support and personal growth. Because these make it about the experience and not the win, they get the best out of it and now have women all over the world to call friends.
That’s what we focus on at Royal Australia, and we are exceptionally proud of our Aussies Karlee and Emma, because they are an absolute showcase of every value we hold in high regard: authenticity, kindness, sportsmanship and growth.
From Scotland to Western Australia, from the British Isles to Outback Australia - the sisterhood is REAL at Royal and this image captures that.
Thank you Sheldon Smith for this awesome photo! ✨
