In case you are new to our page, you may wonder… Why does Team Music for Melons exist? Why do we host musical fundraising events? Well, our founder Angelyn Rhode, is a breast cancer survivor; she was looking for a unique way to give back to the community that supported her through her breast cancer experience. Angelyn knows music is healing and provides a beautiful avenue for self expression & creating community. So she founded team Music for Melons, hosted her first fundraising event, and the rest is history!

This year will be our 14th annual Fall Fundraising Event, and we can’t wait to raise funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer! 🎀

🗓️Saturday, September 19 from 6-9:30 pm at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Longwood

🎟️Tickets are $10 at the door. All proceeds benefit American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Making Strides Orlando KICK OFF 2026 is in the books! This incredible group of people represented our team and performed at tonight’s event - opening and closing the presentation with some very special musical numbers.

We are THRILLED to announce that for the 🔟th year in a row, Music for Melons is in the TOP FIVE Friends and Family teams and will be on TOP TEAM ROW! 💕🎶💕

We are humbled and so grateful to have reached this milestone. It could not have been possible without YOU. Over the years your donations have been put to use where it matters most. New treatments, new testing for early detection, new information, and funding for many programs that help our community locally. Plus, the survival rate continues to climb.
