History isn’t just found in textbooks, it’s alive in the places we walk together. 🕊️🌿

Take a look at our recent educational trip to Kingsley Plantation. Standing with our girls in front of the historic tabby slave cabins and beneath the canopy of an ancient Witness Tree was a profoundly moving experience. 🌳✨

This 400-year-old oak watched history unfold, and Friday, it shaded a new generation of young Black women learning about the immense resilience, strength, and faith of those who came before them. As mentors, there is nothing more powerful than holding space for our girls to ask big questions, honor their heritage, and realize the strength they carry in their own bloodlines. ✊🏾❤️

We are so proud of the maturity and curiosity our mentees showed on this trip. Knowing our history gives us the wings to fly into our futures. 🦅

✨Strongher Series: LETTING GO!

Yesterday during mentoring, we continued our StrongHer Series with a powerful focus on Letting Go 💛🌿

This session was all about releasing what no longer serves us so we can grow, heal, and rise.

🌿 Themes we explored:
• ✨ What I can’t change
• 💛 Letting Go of Comparison
• 🤍 Letting Go of Doubt
• 🪴 What I Need to Forgive

🎤 Affirmation Relay:
We matched statements to the correct theme then paired each one with the appropriate affirmation that helped each mentee speak truth, clarity, and strength over themselves and each other

🎭 Skits:
They acted out real situations to practice what letting go look and feels like in action. Because emotional freedom is not denial…its release

🪞Reflection:
Each session is ended with meaningful reflection questions to help each mentee look inward and grow forward.

StrongHER women don’t just talk about healing…..we practice it, we live it, and we rise through it 💫🦋✨

Just a sneak peek of yesterday’s road trip as we kicked off our first HBCU college tour and exposure experience! 💙

Our girls visited Edward Waters University and Kingsley Plantation, gaining valuable insight into higher education and history.

Poured with purpose 💕✨

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of taking a few of our girls and capture moments as they explored self-expression at Crafted Scent Bar, creating custom candles and signature perfumes while making memories together 💕

Experiences like these remind them that they are free to be creative, bold, and uniquely themselves. When girls are nurtured with love, encouragement, and safe spaces to simply be who they are, they bloom boldly. 🌸

We did it. Our first large grant! 💫

This moment feels surreal. After 7 years of pouring into this work, staying committed through every high and low, it’s finally starting to come full circle. What a journey it’s been. We have been awarded a grant by the for the Community Crime Prevention Award Program. Congratulations to all other agencies and nonprofits who are also doing the work.

This grant is more than funding, it’s a powerful vote of confidence in our mission to uplift, guide, and empower the incredible girls in our mentoring program. Every conversation, every lesson, every moment of growth just got a little stronger.
