Our 3rd Educational Exposure stop: National Center for Civil and Human Rights 🏛️

We believe in pairing every college visit with real-world history. To maximize our girls’ educational exposure on our Atlanta tour, we stopped at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Having the opportunity to show them the blueprint of the fight for justice is one thing, but watching our mentees process the weight of what our ancestors fought for and see the past through their eyes changed everything.

HBCU Tour #4: Spelman College 🏛️💙

We talk about history in mentoring all the time, but giving our girls the opportunity to actually walk through it hits different. Visiting Spelman and being inside the historic chapel where thousands once gathered to pay respects to MLK was incredibly powerful. Stop #4 will be unforgettable. Come with us on our 3 day Trip to Atlanta. Here’s Day 1 of us setting the tone as we continue our HBCU College tour and Educational Exposure Trip.

The coziest start to our mentoring trip: Airbnb check-in and tour, a home-cooked meal, and endless sisterhood bonding with DIY tote bag decorating 🏡🎨✨🫶🏽

Atlanta, you were absolutely amazing to us! 📍✨

Over the past 3 days, we continued our HBCU College Tour and Educational Exposure Trip to the big ATL. The love we received in the city was unmatched. We were stopped by so many incredible locals who complimented our program, wished us the best experience, asked about our mission, and praised our impact. We even had a sweet moment with an AKA sister who stopped to share how proud she was of our organization! 💗💚

Moments like that are a powerful reminder of God’s goodness. Seeing the smiles on my mentees’ faces reminds me that when God gives the vision, He truly provides the provision. He deserves all the glory for what He is doing through this program, and I will forever be grateful to be the vessel He uses. 🙏🏾✨

Making choices is a skill, and it is one our girls are learning to develop 👑

In our latest StrongHER Series, yesterday’s mentoring session was about fostering autonomy and self-honoring “CHOICES”. We gave our girls real-world scenarios and challenged them to stand firmly in their choices. The goal is to teach them that their choices should always honor who they are and who they are becoming.

One of the scenario examples: You stop being yourself because you’re afraid of losing someone’s approval.

The corners:
1️⃣ Protect your peace
2️⃣ Respect your worth
3️⃣ Don’t betray your future self
4️⃣ Don’t shrink to make others comfortable
