Our Girls Mentoring Program was proud to attend Eatonville’s National Night Out 2026! 🎉

A special highlight of the evening was seeing our amazing Youth Board members take the lead in running our program table! They represented our program with confidence, engaged with community members, communicated effectively, and shared information about our program and its mission. Their ability to connect with others and serve as ambassadors for our organization was truly something to celebrate! 👏🏽💕✨

Experiences like these provide our youth with valuable opportunities to strengthen their leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills while building meaningful connections within their community.

A special thank you to the Eatonville Police Department for allowing our organization to be part of this wonderful community event and providing an opportunity for us to connect with local families.

🎓💚 College Tour 5: University of South Florida! 💚✨

Yesterday, our girls mentoring program hit the road for our 5th college tour, and this time we took on USF! University of South Florida 🐂💚

🩺✨ One of the highlights was touring USF’s College of Nursing, where our girls got an inside look at the nursing facilities, simulator lab, and learning about hands-on opportunities that help prepare future healthcare professionals! From exploring the campus to seeing how nursing students learn and train, our girls were able to experience what their future could look like in the world of healthcare. 🩺👩🏽‍⚕️👩🏾‍⚕️

Every tour is another step toward building confidence, expanding possibilities, and reminding our girls that their dreams are BIG, their potential is LIMITLESS, and their futures are BRIGHT! ✨🎓

We’re not just taking college tours; we’re opening doors, creating memories, exposing our girls to new opportunities, and showing them what’s possible when they believe in themselves! 💪🏽💕

A new month means new experiences, new opportunities, and more moments to grow, learn, and transform! ✨

We’re excited for everything October has in store for our mentees and can’t wait to continue creating meaningful experiences both in and outside of the mentoring space.
Here’s what’s happening this month:

✨ Hair Care & Confidence Workshop! 💕💇🏽‍♀️

Yesterday, our girls had an amazing hands-on Hair Care & Confidence Workshop led by Frances Wright, a talented beautician who shared valuable tips and knowledge to help our girls better understand and care for their hair.

The girls learned about proper hair care techniques, products, healthy hair practices, and how to treat and maintain their hair. They also got hands-on experience practicing different techniques on mannequin heads! 💆🏽‍♀️✨

But this workshop was about more than just hair, it was about confidence, self-care, and learning to embrace and take pride in who you are. 💗

To celebrate their hard work, each girl received a certificate of completion and a hair care kit to take home and put their new knowledge into practice! 👜💕

We’re so proud of our girls for showing up, learning, practicing, and investing in themselves. Healthy hair, healthy confidence, empowered girls! 👑✨

🎤⚖️ Court is in session….and the girls have something to say!

This fall, we’re going beyond traditional mentoring. We’re creating an enrichment experience designed to help girls discover who they, find their voice, build confidence, embrace their individuality, develop and grow into resilient leaders.

Yesterday, our girls:
⚖️ Explored leadership through a mock courtroom experience
💡Learn what it means to think for themselves
🗣️ Practice communication and confidence
✨ Learning what it really means to be a leader

Case: The People vs. The Follower. After putting the “follower” on trial, yesterday wasn’t about having all the answers, it was about learning to speak up, think independently, listen, collaborate, and believe in the power of their own voice.

We’re not here to make every girl the same. We’re here to help every girl become more fully HER 💙

POV: You just successfully ran your first mentoring session🦋✨

During mentoring yesterday, we handed over the keys and allowed the girls to facilitate the entire day! We were so locked in that we forgot to grab videos of the girls throughout the session.

Despite not capturing the moments, this exercise gave our leadership team valuable insight into their group dynamics, teamwork, and peer-to-peer communication. Observing them in action was an incredible opportunity to see their natural leadership styles, helping us tailor our program to their exact needs and identify exactly where we can help them grow. We can’t wait to help them refine their essential life skills! 🌱✨

Tell me you’re a VIP without telling me you’re a VIP... 💅✨

Yesterday, our mentees had the most incredible and unforgettable experience at Aquatica Orlando! Not only did we have a day packed with waterslides, laughs, and pure fun, but we also got the ultimate VIP treatment. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like absolute royalty! 👑

A massive thank you to Lieutenant Corey from the Eatonville Police Department for treating us to this amazing day at Aquatica! We also want to give a huge shoutout to the Chief of Security and Lead for personally escorting us for our visit. 🌟🛡️
