We had a fantastic turnout, highlighted by a couple of special presentations. Board members Jenny Showalter, Blaise Waguespack, and David Keys presented Peyton Stikeleather with the inaugural CFBAA President’s Award in recognition of his outstanding efforts organizing and coordinating last year’s Mission Aviation Day in Daytona Beach.

In addition, David Keys was recognized by NBAA for his years of service as Domestic Operations Committee Chair.

The CFBAA YoPros showed up strong once again for the ORL 5K on the Runway, quickly becoming a favorite tradition that brings together runners and aviation supporters for a one-of-a-kind experience on a runway.

This meaningful event raises funds for three incredible organizations making a real impact through aviation:

Were you out at Venice Airport Days yesterday? Our own Hakar Torres, CFBAA YoPro-at-Large, attended the event to help spread some CFBAA cheer!

Small airports have a big impact on their local economies, and it’s always great to see them engaging with and educating their surrounding communities. Events like this help showcase just how important general and business aviation are to the regions they serve.

The Central Florida Business Aviation Association was grateful to National Business Aviation Association for the opportunity to participate in yesterday’s NBAA Regional Forum in Opa-locka, Florida.

YoPro Chairs Hakar Torres and Letwan Sutton, MBA, along with Board Members Matthew Olafsen and Jenny Showalter, welcomed visitors to our booth throughout the day. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear Matthew speak about the association while Hakar shared insights on careers in business aviation during the days speakers forums.

We were excited to see the strong interest in our association many attendees had heard about CFBAA through the industry and stopped by to learn more, while numerous members came over just to say hello. It’s inspiring to see the growing impact we are making within business aviation.

We were also proud to be positioned alongside FABA - Florida Aviation Business Association and across from South Florida Business Aviation Association. Together, the three of our organizations are strengthening collaboration across Florida and expanding our legislative voice in the state.

Last night, CFBAA members and guests kicked off the year with our first happy hour at Intracoastal Brewing Company in Melbourne. Thanks to our generous sponsor, Dassault Falcon, attendees enjoyed an evening of camaraderie and networking.
