IMPACT Drum and Bugle Corps is a performance unit composed of people from all over Florida. Our membership comes from all walks of life and levels of experience. IMPACT's origins begin from a long line of competitive and non competitive music units. Our parent organization Florida Marching Arts Inc. was born in 1992 as Heat Wave of Orlando Sr Drum and Bugle Corps. We also have been known as the Su

n Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. In April 2012 IMPACT was formed by members the Bahia Shrine Drum and Bugle Corps as a way to reach out to performers outside of the Shrine organization and grow the activity. Many of the members of the group shared history together in the Heat Wave Sr. Seeing the need, and desire for an Alumni group, the shrine corps open its door to new members, and old friends. The group has been growing as IMPACT ever since. Based in Central Florida, our primary rehearsal facility is at the Orlando Masonic Lodge #69 (corner of Mills and South St.) IMPACT performs in venues all over Florida and beyond. We can be found entertaining crowds of all ages, in parades, at parties, and even at conventions. We also believe in honoring our service members, and can be called upon for memorial services. IMPACT is not only a performance group; we are also a competitive unit. We have traveled to DCA World Championships many times, to compete in the Mini Corps competition. In 2016, IMPACT became a part if DCI's Sound Sport division. We currently spend our summer months performing and competing at DCI shows throughout the South East US. We end our competitive season in Indianapolis at the DCI Finals event. IMPACT Drum Corps repertoire includes everything from Vintage Rock to Classical music and Jazz. Big things are ahead for IMPACT in 2026!

This summer, we’re shifting our focus from DCI travel to creating exciting local performance opportunities right here in Central Florida. This new direction allows us to bring more performances to our community while evolving into a more dynamic stage entertainment experience.

We’re expanding our hornline with more diverse instrumentation and continuing to build a strong, comprehensive percussion program.

This is an exciting new chapter for IMPACT — one centered on growth, creativity, and entertaining audiences in fresh new ways.

The future is bright, and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
