🌟 Happy National Intern Day!

Today, we’re celebrating the AMAZING interns who help keep MHACF’s Connections Referral Program and Outlook Clinics running smoothly every day.

Our interns play a vital role in connecting Central Florida community members to FREE mental health resources. From answering calls and completing intake assessments to researching referrals, supporting community events, scheduling appointments, providing supervised counseling and case management, and assisting with patient support, their work makes a real difference.

💚 Because of our interns, more individuals and families can access the care, support, and hope they deserve.

Interested in gaining hands-on experience in the mental health field while giving back to the community? MHACF offers meaningful internship opportunities for students looking to grow their skills and make an impact.

In celebration of National Parents' Day, here are some helpful tools for positive parenting which we hope are impactful when communicating and connecting with your youth! 💖

The most important factor in the mental health of children is the quality of the relationship with their caregivers. This, in turn, is strongly related to parenting practices, with the best results coming from warm, responsive, and rule-bound, disciplined parenting.

Our FREE Youth and Family Services Program provides counseling for uninsured and underinsured youth ages 6–17. Through compassionate, family-centered care, we help empower both youth and caregivers with the tools, support, and resources they need to thrive.

💚 National Disability Independence Day is a reminder that everyone deserves access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive, including mental health care.

Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark law that helps protect the rights of people with disabilities and promotes greater inclusion and accessibility in our communities.

Mental health is an important part of overall well-being, and access to care can make a meaningful difference in helping individuals build resilience, find support, and live independently.

🫂 MHACF's FREE Outlook Clinics help uninsured and underinsured individuals connect with mental health resources, including therapy, medication management, and more.

📞 Call our Connections Referral Program Team at (407) 898-0110 Ext. 2

Together, we can help create a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to support their mental wellness and reach their full potential.

We believe you can brave the storm during hurricane season! 😄👏

Facing hurricane season stress means preparing for more than property damage or power outages. Emotional strain during storms can take a real toll on the body, often sparking or worsening chronic pain conditions. Ignoring these effects can lead to long-term health challenges that are harder to manage over time.

💁‍♀️💁‍♂️We encourage you to use our tips to build stronger mental habits to weather whatever challenges future hurricanes bring without sacrificing overall health in the process.

💖✨ Happy International Self-Care Day! ✨💖

When life gets busy, self-care is often the first thing to fall off our to-do list. But taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's essential.

Self-care doesn't have to mean a spa day or a big investment of time. Sometimes it's as simple as taking a walk, getting enough sleep, drinking water, setting boundaries, calling a friend, or giving yourself permission to rest.

🌱 Small acts of self-care can have a powerful impact on your mental health, helping you manage stress, boost your mood, and build resilience during life's challenges.

To help make self-care fun and intentional, we've created a Self-Care Bingo Card! 🎉 Challenge yourself to complete a row, a column, or even the entire card as you prioritize your well-being.

💚 Remember: You can't pour from an empty cup.

👇 Tell us in the comments:
Who are you challenging to play Self-Care Bingo with? And what's your favorite self-care activity?

Let's inspire each other to make mental wellness a priority today and every day. 😊
