Check out the work being done to ensure our employers and the US taxpayers are not being scammed into paying more money than they should for fire apparatus and equipment. Great work General President Edward A. Kelly, Frank Lima - IAFF GST, and all of the employees working to communicate and lobby our US Congress.

Statement from IAFF Local 2057 Regarding the Resignation of Fire Chief Anthony Rios

The Orange County Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 2057, learned this morning that Fire Chief Anthony Rios has tendered his resignation. The news came as a surprise to our organization and to many of the men and women of Orange County Fire Rescue.

We do not have any additional information regarding the circumstances of his resignation and will not speculate on reports or information that has not been confirmed.

During his time as Fire Chief, Chief Rios maintained open communication with our organization, and we appreciate the opportunities we had to work together on behalf of the Department and its members.

We wish Chief Rios and his family well.

As Chief John Westmoreland assumes the role of Interim Fire Chief, our focus remains on supporting our members, maintaining stability within the Department, and ensuring the men and women of Orange County Fire Rescue have the resources they need to continue serving our community.

IAFF Local 2057 looks forward to working with Chief Westmoreland and the Department’s leadership during this transition.
