We love celebrating the incredible impact of our grant recipients, and this week’s spotlight is a winner!
Thanks to the continued support of our community, student-athletes at Tavares Middle School are reaching new heights, literally and figuratively! At the 2026 FLYRA State Track & Field Championship, both the boys and girls teams finished in the Top 10 in the entire state, competing against more than 150 teams across Florida.
Even more inspiring:
🥇 A state champion in javelin
🥈 A silver-medal relay team that exceeded expectations
🏅 Multiple individual medalists and school records broken
In total, 21 student-athletes qualified for state, showcasing the power of opportunity, dedication, and community investment.
This is what happens when we invest in students... confidence grows, talent shines, and futures are strengthened. 💙
