In Harmony With Nature would like to make a huge shout out to the Central Florida Foundation for their work in the community!! They are helping nonprofits continue their missions and expand their missions by matching grants to projects.

Return To Nature is just the start of how CFF has helped us to launch one program and we have more to come from the opportunity CFF provided.

Looking forward to continuing to work together to help our community in more ways than one!

This project is made possible by a grant from the Rex V. Stevens and Dulciza Stevens Fund at Central Florida Foundation.

Central Florida Foundation believes in the power of philanthropy and that thoughtful strategies, combined with a generous community, make Central Florida a place where everyone feels at home. The Foundation works with families focused on giving back, nonprofits and across public and private sectors to bring philanthropy to life. It all began in 1994 as a dream around a table of local, passionate people, and has grown to be one of the community’s most trusted resources.

Drumroll please! 🥁🥁🥁

Our girls Harmony and Willow are so excited for their new pen to be complete in just a very short time. If you have been following along you may remember that these 2 beauties and their 3 siblings came from a breeder who failed to socialize the entire litter. We have worked hard and diligently to show respect for their individual personalities, give them space, and help them learn to trust. As such the group was housed in one of our indoor spaces with multiple daily turn outs to play. This was to allow the quintuple pack to develop bonds with our volunteers.

We can't wait to see how happy they will be running around their new enclosure and playing with their friends!!

Despite that giant double-insulated fur coat, wolves and wolfdogs are actually incredible at regulating their body temperature.

They shed seasonally, seek shade, dig cool spots in the earth, and absolutely love cooling off in water during hot weather.

Our tubs are cleaned and refilled regularly several times a week so they can safely splash, soak, and survive Florida’s oven temps of a summer. ☀️

Here you can see our sweet wolfdog Porridge enjoying a lil soak in her tub. She is adoptable! DM for details 🫶🐺

Wolves will often roll in something dead, a strong scent, or the smell of another animal. Sometimes it’s believed to be a way of bringing information back to the pack, and other times… they just really like the smell.

But what does it mean when they roll and rub on humans?

Wolves experience the world through scent. Smell is how they recognize connection, familiarity, safety, and belonging. So when a wolf rubs against you or rolls on you, it’s often a form of scent sharing and social bonding.

In wolf language, it’s almost like saying:
“You’re one of mine now.”

And honestly… that feels pretty special coming from something wild.

A new sanctuary experience is beginning.

Return to Nature is a guided wolf connection and nature-based healing experience at In Harmony With Nature Wolf Sanctuary in Orlando. This 2-hour small-group experience invites you to slow down, reconnect, and learn from the quiet wisdom of nature and our rescued wolves and wolf-dogs.

This is not a tour. It is a space for presence, reflection, education, and authentic connection. You will also see what levels of volunteering our organization offers that you may be interested in.

Big pack energy today— 6 different wolfdogs all have their eyes on the Fromm prize 👀🐺

Our 5 semi-feral youngens plus their best buddy Tate were very interested in today’s delivery and made sure to closely supervise the unpacking process!

Feeling especially thankful for the generosity of companies like Fromm Family Foods who help care for our residents through product donations. While our high contents and pure wolves are raw fed, many of our lower content animals are kibble fed, which means we go through food incredibly fast. Providing high-quality nutrition for everyone in our care is always a top priority, and donations like this truly make a difference for the sanctuary and the animals who call it home. ❤️

Sadie and Luc aka our site managers👷‍♀️👷 on duty 🐺

We are constructing 2 new enclosures. One for our quintuple yearlings and one for Aurora from Seacrest. 🔨👷🚧

It’s been a long, hard process juggling the needs of our resident wolves and wolfdogs that call our sanctuary home and also adding 8 more wolves (all requiring Class 2 enclosures) to provide a safe temporary home for the Seacrest wolves.

Our GoFundMe is still live and is hanging tight around 30% of our goal towards our nuisance suit. If you wish to support our work the link is below or feel free to share! 🙏🏼🐺🩵
