There are moments that remind you exactly why you started.
Watching young athletes sit in a room full of college basketball players, asking questions, taking notes, and envisioning what their future could look like was one of those moments for me 🙏🏾
I remember being their age, wanting answers, wanting guidance, and wanting to learn from people who had already walked the path. That’s why creating opportunities like this is so important. Exposure changes lives 🙌🏾
What made the day even more special was seeing our college student-athletes receive wisdom from successful business and community leaders. The reality is that basketball can open doors, but character, leadership, relationships, and professionalism are what help you walk through them 💎
As I looked around the room, I wasn’t just seeing athletes. I was seeing future business owners, coaches, educators, executives, community leaders, and difference-makers!
That’s the vision behind Rise League ‼️
Not just helping young people succeed in sports, but helping them develop the confidence, discipline, leadership, and perspective needed to succeed in life!
I’m grateful for every college athlete, business leader, parent, volunteer, and supporter who invested their time into our event. Seeds were planted today that may not fully bloom for years, but I truly believe moments like these can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.
