Help them get back to work fairly, send a letter to the Orlando airport now:

Right now, hundreds of Orlando airport concessions workers are furloughed due to the pandemic and do not know when they will go back to work. Many fear that a short-term crisis could become a long-term disaster for themselves and their families. We cannot control the timing of the economic recovery,...

“HMSHost workers are here today because we are a union, we are a family, and this is our airport and these are our jobs,” said Kourtney Monroe, who had worked at Outback.

A server at Outback, Jerrica Dolle, said workplace racial justice is critical. “We will no longer tolerate the disrespect, discrimination, and we want equal opportunity for all workers no matter what race,” Dolle said.

Restaurant workers laid off at Orlando's airport protested Wednesday, calling for the airport authority to require concessionaires to rehire former workers and establish mandatory health protections as a condition of rent waivers the restaurants and other businesses are receiving from the authority....

Late last night the STCU came to an Agreement about the recalling Cast Members back to work. The deal provides many safety protections and benefits regarding a return to work. Some of those things are:

-Ensuring that anyone who contracts COVID-19 will have paid time off to quarantine.

-Cast Members will be trained on how to conduct self-assessments regarding symptoms of COVID-19 at home. Disney will provide a thermometer to anyone who requests one. Cast who have COVID-19 symptoms can call in free of attendance discipline.

Additional safety procedures put in place by the Company include: masks for Guests and Cast are mandatory (Cast will be provided 3 masks), social distancing practices, training at multiple levels on safety, plastic barriers at all cash registers, increased cleaning in high traffic areas, touchless transactions at cash registers, increased sanitation and hand washing stations across property, monthly worker safety meetings, and guest temperature checks at property.

This Agreement paves the way for each affiliated Union of the STCU to continue to have conversations with the Company, including ensuring your safety when you return to work.

Members will have many questions about the recall process. Your individual union will be in touch with you to provide details about you and your work location. The STCU will share additional information as it becomes available.

Disney Springs will reopen on May 20, but the rest of the Orlando resort will remain closed.
