Things are starting to take shape at The Allen Asylum! 🎃

A HUGE thank you to our amazing build crew who spent two full days crafting, building, and bringing some seriously cool new additions to life inside the haunt.

Walls are going up. Scenes are coming together. And The Allen Asylum is starting to look a little more… disturbed. 😈

We still have plenty of surprises ahead as we transform into the School for the Insane.

Stay tuned… you haven’t seen anything yet.

The 2026 Allen Asylum build is underway, and Weekend 1 is in the books.

We made a strong start getting the walls and structure in place, and this year the goal is to keep things moving in a much more organized way — construction on the weekends, props and details during the week.

There’s still a long way to go, but this is always the point where it starts to feel real.

And behind all the scares is the reason we do it: supporting the Kindness Project and helping make a positive impact in our local schools.

Follow along as the Allen Asylum comes to life.

🎃 LAST CALL FOR ALLEN ASYLUM DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS! 🎃

September is officially build month for the Allen Asylum Charity Haunted House, and we’re looking for a few final donations and some creative volunteers to help bring this year’s haunted school to life!

We could still use:

🪵 Wooden pallets
🏫 Old school desks or chairs
🧍 Mannequins
🚧 Old fencing or fence panels
🎨 Artists or creative volunteers who can paint walls, create creepy scenes or help age our school-themed props

Used, worn or beat-up items are perfect—the creepier, the better! We can arrange pickup in the Bay Hill, Dr. Phillips, Windermere and Winter Garden areas.

For 20 years, the Allen Asylum has brought our community together for Halloween while raising money to support kindness programs in our local public schools through The Kindness Project.

If you have something to donate or would like to share your talents, please send me a private message or contact:
