was formed in January of 2005 for the expressed purpose of soliciting tax deductible donations from the public, business, charitable foundations and governmental agencies. The purpose of the solicitation is to form a pool of funds that would be used for two purposes:
1.1) To provide financial awards to injured U.S. soldiers discharged from service in Iraq or Afghanistan.
1.2) To provide funds for
the successful operation of the charity.
2.0) Vision:
It is the vision of Pennies for Patriots leadership that returning veterans from wars in Iraq & Afghanistan receive financial and employment assistance in recovering from injuries sustained in battle.
3.0) Mission:
It is the mission of the Pennies for Patriots charitable organization to provide financial awards on a case-by-case basis to qualifying injured service men and women who have received a Purple Heart medal for injuries sustained in meritorious service during wartime in the Iraq & Afghanistan theaters of war.
4.0) Goal:
It is the goal of Pennies for Patriots, Inc. funds over five years while disbursing 70% of these funds as benefits to the intended recipients.
5.0) P4P Philosophy:
The organization and its leadership will embrace the LDRSHIP concepts of the U.S. This acronym stands for:
