It takes a VILLAGE! THANK YOU to EVERYONE who helped make the 2025-2026 Conway Community Market such meaningful community fun!!!
Big shout out to Orange County, Orange County Parks Department, Josh and Mike and the Barber Park team, and Orange County Risk Management. Big thank tou to Dana, Deb, Jackie, Mary, & Wendy. Huge thank you to our AMAZING Boone volunteer crew - Liz, Kailani, Rylan, and Connor Bryant. You’re the coolest cats I know.
Volunteers, coordinators, vendors, supporters, county staff, performers, shoppers! Thank you all!
Thank you to ALL of thr layers that not only make a market happen, but make it mesningful to the community, and then fun!
What did yall do? You put out yard signs, made flyers and donated thanksgiving meals! You DJ’d markets, ran puppies through rally courses and sold bread. You shared FB posts, held down tents in a cyclone and donated to our local families.
You read vendor insurance policies, helped keep the park clean and made ourselves available to the needs of strangers. You benefitted from our gorgeous local Barber Park, told friends about the market, and high fived the park staff.
You showed up!! You walked the dog through the market, dressed the kids (and guinnea pig!) in costumes for contests and supported new vendors. You juggled insurance policies, danced in Edgez tutus and strung macaroni necklaces for mom.
You wrangled chickens, strung up advertisement banners and loaded 420,000 boxes of product into SUVs. You were polite in parking lots, posted hundreds of ads, and shopped the market even if it was hot out. You performed shows at the market, pointed out the bathroom, and donated dozens of Sundays.
You logged community service hours, helped folks put up tents, and adored niche finds. You supported each others goals, dreams, and businesses. We gave of our time, talent, and treasure. We fed families, shared resources and led with respect.
If you were involved in the Conway Community Market in any way this year, thank you. Truly. Conway, thank you.
