Night two in sunny Miami!

From workshops to peer site visits, we're soaking up new ideas, sharing g experiences, and building our skills as staff and Board members at the neighborworks National Training g Institute (NTI).

We're excited to bring what we're learning to Orlando to strengthen affordable housing opportunities and support the stability of the communities we serve.
And, of course, ending the night with great food and even better company!

Ms. Geri, The Roberts

She has called The Roberts home for more than 16 years.

Before the community was preserved and renovated in 2021, she worried she might lose her apartment due to investors looking to purchase the property. Today she speaks about The Roberts with pride. Noting the stability it has provided and the sense of community created by the activities and services offered.

Ms. Geri’s interview was a small part of a video project led by the NeighborWorks Florida Collaborative highlighting the impact of affordable housing across Florida.

We're excited to see the final video featuring ONIC President Alfred Arzuaga, an intergenerational arts and crafts activity at The Roberts, and fellow members of the NeighborWorks Florida Collaborative at the NeighborWorks America National Training Institute this August in Miami. We can't wait to share it with you!

At ONIC, we know that building strong community partnerships is at the heart of expanding access to affordable housing and resources for stabilizing families. We're grateful for spaces like this that bring mission-driven organizations and financial partners like Valley Bank together to help move communities forward.

Building stronger communities together.

Proud to have our President, Alfred Arzuaga, represent ONIC at the NeighborWorks Florida Collaborative Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect with peers from NeighborWorks America organizations across the Southern region, and share insights with the staff of Senator Rick Scott and US Rep Darren Soto on the work beign done to strenghten communities through housing.
