The bulb is back! The lightbulb has been part of IDEAS For Us since our inception and this Earth Day we are rebranding our nonprofit logo back to powerful imagery of the lightbulb.

IDEAS is a light in dark places towards a better and more sustainable world. Now more than ever is that light important.

This new logo celebrates our story of energy that powers great ideas, water that gives life, food that fuels our helping hands, waste that we manage through innovative solutions, and ecology that is the harmony of all life on this planet.

If you’ve interacted with IDEAS For Us over the years, we welcome you to our new era of innovative ideas, eco-action projects, & impact that creates a better world. We further commit ourselves to the greater good through IDEAS For Us.

Donate to Our Frost Damage Plant Fund Help Us Restore Our Gardens 🌱

At IDEAS For Us and our Fleet Farming program, we grow more than food. We grow living classrooms, neighborhood harvests, and hands on environmental education for people of all ages. Even with our frost protection, this recent frost severely damaged plants across our farms, schools, and community gardens, and we need your help to bring them back.

Your support will allow us to:

• Replace Florida native plants that support pollinators and local ecosystems
• Replant vegetable crops used for education and fresh food distribution
• Restore fruit trees that provide long term harvests for the community
• Rebuild school gardens so students can continue outdoor learning
• Recover community farmlettes used for volunteer programs and food distribution program

Happy New Year and hello 2026! This year we celebrate IDEAS For Us reaching the milestone of 18 years of action. As we reflect of nearly two decades of eco-action, we are reminded that caring for our natural world means caring for one another. Everything is deeply connected. Lasting change will only happen when we work together, set aside our differences, and unify our efforts that assure a good, peaceful, and healthy world for future generations.

.global had the absolute pleasure of attending Dr. Valerie Jane Goodall’s Celebration of Life at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Jane Goodall Institutes CEO Anna Rathmann , , Goodall family members, and friends all celebrated the life of a true visionary.

Her legacy inspires millions across the world to take meaningful action for the sake of life as we know it on our precious and vulnerable planet earth. Her message is one of hope, never giving into apathy while we have the power to make change for the better.

More about the legacy of Jane Goodall:
Jane Goodall’s legacy can be defined by her groundbreaking chimpanzee research, where she discovered they use and make tools, which redefined the relationship between humans and animals. She became a global conservation icon, founding the Jane Goodall Institute to protect chimpanzees and the environment and creating the Roots & Shoots program to empower young people in conservation efforts. Her work shifted from scientific observation to activism, advocating for conservation, animal welfare, and climate action through her extensive writing, lectures, and films.
