Faith Project International The Stove Program:
This program builds efficient wood burning stoves in the homes of participant families.

Often, rural families still cook over open fires in enclosed kitchens the way their ancestors have for centuries. This leads to respiratory illness and shortened lifespans from prolonged smoke inhalation and leads to rapid deforestation. The Scholarship Program:
This program provides direct assistance to families of girls ages twelve to twenty five to pay for sixth grade to college. Often, rural f

amilies don't have the resources available to allow every family member to attend school, and education is public only until fifth grade. Girls especially aren't often afforded the opportunity to study.

Want to come to Guatemala with my family this summer to build stoves? We still have space.

The trip will be June 17-24. The cost is 1500 dollars per person, which includes everything except spending money. For every adult, you may include one child under the age of 18 for 1200 dollars.

The itinerary is as follows.

◦ Monday/june 17:
Arrive in Guatemala on the Spirit direct flight from Orlando around 1pm
Drive to Antigua from the airport, a beautiful colonial city
Explore Antigua
Eat dinner
Gather up for nightly devotional
◦ Tuesday/june 18:
Have breakfast
Drive to the mission in San Antonio Illotenango (4 hours)
Get settled at the mission and have dinner
Nightly Devotional
◦ Wednesday/june 19:
Breakfast
Build Stoves in a village around San Antonio
Dinner
Nightly devotion
◦ Thursday/june 20:
Breakfast Build Stoves/ lead VBS/ other mission opportunities in a village around San Antonio
Dinner
Nightly devotion
◦ Friday/june 21:
Breakfast Build Stoves/ lead VBS/ other mission opportunities in a village around San Antonio
Dinner
Nightly devotional
◦ Saturday/june 22:
Wake up and drive to Atitlan, a beautiful lake surrounded by volcanoes(3 hours)
Optional add-on: zip lining over the lake Boat to hotel across the lake
Nightly Devotional
◦ Sunday/june 23:
Optional: boat ride to nature preserve with pretty views and cliff jumping
Nightly devotional
◦ Monday/june 24:
Drive from Atitlan to airport
Fly home

FAQ
1 Can I bring my kids? Absolutely. The Cowherds bring all six kids.
2 What shots do I need? Just tetanus.
3 Can I drink the water? No! But we give you bottled water.
4 Do I need a passport? Yep!
5 How’s the food? Fresh and delicious.
6 How’s the weather? Low 70’s in the day, low 50’s at night.
