For more than a decade, community leadership has been at the heart of Contigo Fund.
The first photo was taken in September 2016, just months after Pulse.
The second was taken nearly ten years later.
These photos capture two moments in a much larger story. Not every Steering Committee member from each moment is pictured here, but every person who has served has helped shape the work, the vision, and the legacy of Contigo Fund.
Some faces have changed. New leaders have stepped forward. Others have completed their service and passed the torch. And some have continued to hold that torch across the years, helping carry the vision from one chapter to the next.
Contigo Fund was built on a simple belief: the people closest to our communities should help shape the decisions that impact them.
For ten years, our Steering Committee has helped guide grantmaking, strategy, partnerships, and investments across Central Florida. They have asked hard questions, wrestled with difficult decisions, challenged assumptions, celebrated victories, and helped ensure that community voice remains at the center of this work.
As we celebrate Pride Month and reflect on the road from 2016 to today, we’re reminded that movements are not sustained by any one person. They are sustained by generations of leaders willing to show up, learn from one another, and continue building long-term community power.
We’re grateful for every Steering Committee member, past and present, who has helped shape this journey.
Here’s to ten years of community leadership.
And to everything still ahead. 🧡
