Next month will be six years since Mallory's TBI. Last night she was awarded the "Overall Achievement" for the whole sixth grade. She also received a award for keeping a 3.5-3.9 GPA throughout the 2016 & 2017 school year. We thank God every day for all those involved in helping her to get this far. She has worked hard, cried and pushed herself beyond our expectations. I still remember the day when the doctors came in and said they did not detect any brain activity, and did not feel she would make it through the night, for us to call the family in. Mallory made it through the night and struggled for every little movement she made from moving a finger to opening a eye to trying to walk to talk to eat. She is our miracle.
She will be having surgery on the 31st to try to correct her foot. To keep it from turning and hopefully this will help her to walk better. Please keep her in your prayers.
