Central Florida Wounded Vet Run

Central Florida Wounded Vet Run "They fought, we ride" began in Boston in 2011 to help our wounded veterans. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Brought to Central Florida in 2018, the CVMA and Asphalt & Iron work to preserve this tradition and help our wounded veterans. The Central Florida Wounded Vet Run is much more than a motorcycle event. It is not like other wounded veteran support organizations; we are LOCAL people helping LOCAL heroes. We are working with community businesses and cultivating friendships with our honoree(s) so that

we can better serve them. Every year Central Florida’s Wounded Vet Run will be dedicated to different disabled veterans. The event is supported by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, FL Chapter 20-4; a 501c19 Non-Profit Veteran Organization. Proceeds raised go towards housing modifications, recreational objects, cars, basic living items, and other things that help improve the quality of life for a wounded war hero. Money raised in the name of this organization benefits selected wounded veterans and/or charities of their choosing. All volunteers work free and there are no paid staff. We are not a national organization with funds going to six-figure executive salaries. Within the Central Florida Wounded Vet Run not a single director, staff member, or volunteer gets paid a dime for their time. Every dollar raised goes directly to the current year’s honoree(s) or toward operations costs (these are minimal). Additionally, because our run is hosted, managed, and conducted at the local level, our honoree(s) are also our neighbors. When you participate in the Central Florida Wounded Vet Run you will meet and shake hands with the local hero you are supporting. They fought, and we ride, a bike run honoring the wounded veterans of Central Florida.

💜 PURPLE HEART DAY — AUGUST 7 💜

Today, American Legion Riders Chapter 35 pauses to honor the brave men and women who were wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The Purple Heart represents courage, sacrifice, and a price paid in defense of the freedoms we enjoy every day.

To every Purple Heart recipient, to those who never made it home, and to the families who stood beside them — we remember you, we honor you, and we are forever grateful. 🇺🇸

💜 Never Forgotten.
🇺🇸 Always Honored.
🙏 Forever Grateful.

Meet CFWVR committee member Pat McMullen. One of our Major Sponsors this year was FL Utility Trailers which Pat works for. Pat’s boss wanted to join in on the ride so Pat lent him his bike so he could ride. Hmmm now what was Pat and his wife going to ride?- no problem the owner of Gator Harley-Davidson, John Malik made sure Pat rode in style on this gorgeous Road Glide.
