We're having another successful Community Hiring Event today! Bringing employers and job seekers together is one of the many ways we help individuals move from crisis to stability through meaningful employment opportunities.

Through our Success Training Employment Program (STEP), participants gained the resume and interview skills, support, and confidence to interview for jobs today, and we're rooting for their success!

A special thank you to our employer and community partners for investing their time, sharing opportunities, and helping create pathways to self-sufficiency for our neighbors.

Even if you can't make it today, register now for more information on future opportunities!

You may remember Alicia Byrd from her CNN interview last year. She shared the heartbreaking reality of losing SNAP benefits during the government shutdown, fording her to skip meals so her children could eat.

When Alicia connected with UP Orlando, she found support through our Member Share Grocery Program and enrolled in the Success Training Employment Program. With hard work and determination, she was able to transform her life in just one short year.

Today, we're proud to say that Alicia is working at DoubleTree by Hilton, and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management.

Last Friday at the Hand UP Luncheon, she surprised everyone in the room and made a $1,000 pledge to pay it forward and help others access the same opportunities that changed her life.

💙 That's the power of a Hand UP: transforming lives, restoring dignity, and creating future community leaders.

Will you follow Alicia's lead?

💙 Shanah Tovah from all of us at .

As Rosh Hashanah begins, we wish a sweet and meaningful New Year to all who observe.

Rosh Hashanah is a time for reflection, renewal, and looking toward a sweeter year ahead, traditionally symbolized by eating apples and honey. For us, it's an opportunity to come together and support those in our community who are facing hunger by providing nutritious food and resources and creating meaningful and sustainable pathways to a healthy and hopeful new year.🍎🍯

Today, your gift has double the impact thanks to First Horizon Bank This month, they are matching dollar for dollar up to $10,000 to support neighbors in need, will you join them?

💚 Today, we proudly celebrate the graduation of the 76th cohort of our Success Training Employment Program (STEP)! 🎉

Our twenty graduates dedicated themselves to building new skills, gaining confidence, and taking meaningful steps toward economic self-sufficiency. We are thrilled to share that five graduates have already secured permanent employment, and our Success Coaches are actively working alongside the remaining graduates to help them find the right opportunities for long-term success.

Every graduate represents the power of opportunity, support, and determination. As we continue to equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive in the workforce, community support helps ensure programs like STEP remain available to those seeking a pathway to a brighter future.

Through the end of August, thanks to a generous contribution from Vystar Credit Union, every donation made will be doubled, allowing us to expand access to the training, resources, and support that help individuals achieve lasting economic stability.
