Ready to take the next step in your public relations career? 📣 Join FPRA Orlando and PRSA Orlando for our Fall APR Prep Course!

All sessions will be held virtually from 12-1 p.m. and led by seasoned APR facilitators who will guide discussions around the core topics covered on the APR exam.

These workshops are not required “classes,” but rather professional development and networking sessions led by mentors who want to help you succeed on your APR journey.

Last week, in addition to celebrating our annual chapter award winners, we also installed our incoming Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 year, beginning Sept. 1! 🎉

We were thrilled to welcome incoming Florida Public Relations Association State President April Salter, APR, CPRC, who joined us to share her vision for , install our new board and inspire us for the year ahead.

Following the installation, we headed to our board retreat, where we grew closer as a team, walked through our strategic plan for the year and brainstormed programming for our members.

Fall APR Info Session and Prep Courses Kick Off Later This Month!

If you’ve been interested in learning more about the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) process, we invite you to join the upcoming Fall 2026 APR Information Session on August 31 from noon to 1 p.m. This virtual session will walk attendees through the three key components of the APR journey: the APR Questionnaire, the Panel Presentation and the computer-based Examination. Experienced APR professionals will share what to expect at each stage, tips for preparing successfully and common misconceptions about the process. The session is open to FPRA Orlando and PRSA Orlando members. Click here to register.

APR Prep Courses will then begin the week of September 14 and continue through mid-November. The sessions will be virtual and feature a variety of accredited PR pros walking participants through the various areas of the examination process.
