Innovation, strategy, collaboration and yes, plenty of laughter.

Our Member Collaboration Workshop brought Alliance members together to exchange ideas, explore new opportunities for partnership, and think creatively about how we can strengthen our collective impact. Through an interactive game, attendees stepped outside their usual routines, built new connections, and sparked conversations that could lead to future partnerships.

During our "Fueling Collaborative Resilience: ONWARD Together" panel, Alexander Sterling, CEO of Turtle Island Community Capital, Jodie Harris, President of PIDC, and Kimberly Lyle, CEO of Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, explored what it takes for Black-led CDFIs to move beyond informal partnerships and toward practical, intentional collaboration that strengthens institutions and expands impact.

From shared services and collaborative financing to technical expertise and advocacy partnerships, the discussion challenged attendees to think differently about how we can leverage our collective strengths to navigate uncertainty, build capacity, and better serve our communities.

The message was clear: when Black-led CDFIs work together, we are stronger together.

We kicked off the week with an inspiring keynote from Xavier Ramey, CEO of Justice Informed, whose insights challenged us to think boldly about leadership, economic justice, and the responsibility we carry as changemakers.

As someone who has played a critical role in helping shape The Alliance's foundation, Xavier's message served as a powerful reminder of both how far we've come and the work that still lies ahead.

This opening session set the tone for this week—grounding us in our shared purpose and energizing us for a conference centered on connection, collaboration, and impact.

And thank you to Chapter IV for helping us conclude an inspiring evening with great food, networking, and reflection.
