Club Update: New Leadership, Platform Changes, and Upcoming Events!
Dear Tesla Owners Florida Members,
We have some exciting news to share regarding the future of our club! Following a recent leadership meeting, we are implementing several changes designed to improve transparency, streamline communication, and bring more value to our community.
Here is a recap of the major updates:
A New Chapter in Leadership We are proud to announce that we have established a full Board of Directors to ensure the club’s long-term stability and growth. Decisions will now be made through a collaborative majority vote. Our leadership team consists of:
Board Members/Directors: A.j. Agarwal (President), Jason Blount (Vice President), Eva Battyanyi McMillan, David Cox, Nick Howe, and Carson James Gallo (Former President).
Note: Our Treasurer, Steve Furniss, will be stepping down at the end of the month. We thank him for his dedicated service.
To keep ideas fresh, President and Vice President roles will rotate every six months. Board involvement is merit-based, focused on empowering the active members who make this club great.
New Community Platform We are moving away from Discord! To make things simpler and reduce "app fatigue," we are transitioning to a web-based community forum integrated directly into our upgraded club website. This will allow anyone to browse the forum, while members-only logins will be used for commenting.
X Spaces & Live Interactions To increase our visibility, our future live interactions will move to X Spaces. These sessions will be recorded, so you can listen back at any time. Eva Battyanyi McMillan and Smoky the Bear have tentatively scheduled these for Sundays at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM.
Upcoming Events & Initiatives
TOFL America 250: Beach BBQ, Lightshow, and Camping (July 11th): Join Alex Kratzer and Viviana Bianchi Iduate at Fort De Soto in St. Petersburg for a massive event featuring rented pavilions and 4th of July light shows.
Delivery Assist Program: We are partnering with Tesla Wesley Chapel to help new owners learn their car settings at delivery. We hope to expand this across Florida soon!
Tesla Merritt Island Event: Eva Battyanyi McMillan is working with the Merritt Island team to organize an upcoming parking lot event.
Simon’s Worldwide Event (June 20th–28th): Keep an eye out for local filming opportunities as we prep content for this global event.
Tesla GigaTexas Factory Tour: Tentatively planned for September/October 2026. Stay tuned for more details!
Club Merchandise We’ve finalized a high-quality blueprint for our club shirts (small logo on front, large on back). We are also exploring more cost-effective ways to produce club gear to keep costs down for members.
