Sew Perfect 4H Club To encourage & teach interested youth & teens in all types of sewing.

We meet at the Orange County - UF/IFAS Extension Education Center (address listed above) from 7:00 PM - 8:30/9:00 PM on the following dates:
2011: 9/15; 9/24; 10/13; 10/20; 1/10; 12/8
2012: 1/12; 1/26; 2/9; 2/23; 3/22; 4/12; 4/26; 5/11; 5/17

Congrats to everyone who worked on our fabulous fair booth & presented gripping demo speeches at the fair! :) Our next meeting is Thurs, March 22 - we'll be discussing the upcoming Fashion Review contest & working on our project/record books. See you then!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY FRIEND PAM WHO JUST BECAME A GRANDMOTHER!!!! .... wait, did I say GRANDMOTHER? No, I couldn't have said that. We're wayyyyy too young for that! What I MEANT to say was, "CONGRATULATIONS TO MY FRIEND PAM WHO JUST GOT HER DRIVER'S LICENSE SO WE'RE TAKING HER MOM'S VAN TO THE BEACH AND WE'RE GONNA LISTEN TO OUR MONKEES 8-TRACK TAPES WHILE WE SLATHER HAWAIIAN TROPIC DARK TANNING OIL ALL OVER US & WATCH THE SURFER DUDES! PAM IS SO COOL!" (Actually, we do all that anyway ... we just have to bring her GRANDSON along with us, now!!!)

TONIGHTS MTG - FEB 9 - IS CANCELLED once again due to sickness! :( Gwyneth just came down with the stomach flu & I don't feel too good, either. Pam can't make it tonight, either, so we'll have to cancel. I'm so sorry!!!

Our first meeting of 2012 is TOMORROW!!! Please bring anything & everything that you can think of that we could use to build our fair booth & scarecrow ... I think we have a request for bubble wrap! Thanks!!

Our Tues, Dec 20th workday has been CANCELLED!!! Neither Miss Pam nor I (Joanne) are able to make it - I'm so sorry!!! We'll start making our items for our booth & scarecrow at our Jan meeting. Have a wonderful, safe, blessed holiday everyone!!!

Our next meeting will be THURS, DEC 8! This year's Central Fl Fair's theme is "UNDER THE SEA!" Please bring ideas (with this theme) for our booth, scarecrow, banner, posters, etc. Please also bring any hats &/or scarves that you've knitted for our community service projects ... or just bring your knitting with you! :)

NOV 8 MTG UPDATE: Since we missed Halloween :( we decided that I'll do the costume program at another time. We need to concentrate on getting our knitted hats & scarves for the homeless completed, so please bring your knitting (or other projects) tomorrow night... and don't forget to bring FOOD for our pot luck Thanxgiving!

Our next meeting will be THURS, NOV 8 at the Ag Center from 7 PM to 8:30/9PM. I will present a short program on costuming & everyone is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to bring a food time to share! Please E-mail Joanne (or post below) what food you plan to bring. Everyone can wear a costume, too - Halloween or Thanksgiving themed - it all works! :)
