The Renal Professionals Forum is happening this week in St. Augustine Beach. There’s still time to sign up, we’d love to have you join us. And if you can’t make it this year, we hope to see you next year.

In the meantime, tell us who you are.

If you support people with kidney disease anywhere in Florida, comment below and let us know what you do and where people can find you.

Let’s make it easier for Floridians living with kidney disease to find the help and resources that are already out there.

Looking forward seeing many of you this week in St. Augustine, FL!

If you have kidney disease, “just drink more water” isn’t always the right answer.

We’re in the hottest part of the year, and heat, dehydration, blood pressure medications and fluid restrictions can make things complicated for someone living with kidney disease.

If you have CKD, especially if you’re on dialysis or have been told to limit fluids, talk with your healthcare team about what staying safe in extreme heat looks like for YOU.

Kidney advice isn’t one size fits all. Neither is the National Kidney Foundation of Florida.

There's still time for more sponsors to join us! Contact Barbara Chatman at [email protected] for your sponsor packet.

Does it ever feel like you’re navigating kidney disease on your own?

You’re not imagining it.

A new diagnosis, lab results you don’t understand, questions about dialysis or transplant, insurance, medications… it can feel overwhelming. Too many people leave appointments knowing they have kidney disease but not knowing what to do next.

That’s why the National Kidney Foundation of Florida is here.

🧡 Join our free virtual patient support groups twice each month and connect with people who understand.

🧡 If you’ve received a kidney transplant, the Hawthorne Fund may be able to help with the cost of immunosuppressant medications for those who qualify.

🧡 If you’re facing financial hardship, our Direct Aid Program may be able to help with essential needs for eligible patients.

And that’s only part of what we do.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. We’re here to educate, support, and help you navigate every step of your kidney journey.

Visit KidneyFL.org to learn more about our programs, support groups, and patient resources.

Follow along because I’ll continue sharing resources, answers, and support that every kidney patient deserves to know. 💙🧡

we are meeting tonight, the links in the comments.
