The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is proud to celebrate March as Women’s History Month as we honor the sacrifices and achievements of women in our union and our nation.

Since our founding in 1903, women have played a crucial role in the growth and success of the Teamsters Union and the broader labor movement. Women labor leaders participated in the very first Teamsters convention and since then have led the Teamsters Union to the forefront of fighting for gender equality in the workplace and society.

Every day, Teamsters women who serve as local presidents, business agents, stewards, and rank-and-file members fight and win the best contracts for workers of all backgrounds in all industries. This month and throughout the year, the Teamsters Union celebrates the selfless women who make our union stronger and improve the lives of 1.3 million Teamsters families across the country.

The Teamsters are proud to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy of fighting for workers regardless of race, religion, or creed. Dr. King, an honorary Teamster, gave his life while supporting striking sanitation union members in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1968. Then and now, the Teamsters continue this crusade of fighting for the dignity and respect of all working people, including those in the waste, recycling, and sanitation industry.

Through the efforts of the Teamsters Human Rights and Diversity Commission, our union remains committed to honoring Dr. King’s legacy and educating members on his life and work. The Teamsters will continue to lead the fight for economic justice for workers and their families across North America.

More than 100 workers at MBM Logistics, a third-party logistics provider (3PL) for DHL Express in Orlando, Florida, have overwhelmingly ratified a strong first Teamsters contract.

The new agreement provides a $5 hourly wage increase, fully employer-paid health care, expanded vacation time, and seven new paid holidays.

It was wonderful to spend the day with our Teamster Family at the Christmas Party! We hope everyone enjoyed the food, fellowship and activities. How wonderful is was to see the children’s happy faces with Santa. See you all next year on December 5th 2026!

More than 100 workers in Orlando at MBM Logistics, a third-party logistics provider (3PL) for DHL Express, have overwhelmingly ratified a strong first Teamsters contract. The three-year Teamsters agreement secures higher wages, fully employer paid health care, expanded time off, and stronger job protections.

Workers at MBM Logistics voted to join Teamsters Local 385 last year. Throughout the organizing campaign and contract fight, MBM management spent tens of thousands of dollars on anti-union consultants who were paid $375 an hour to interfere with workers’ rights.

The Teamsters represent more than 10,000 DHL Express workers nationwide. The new Teamsters agreement in Orlando provides a $5 hourly wage increase, fully employer paid health care at no cost to employees, expanded vacation time, and seven new paid holidays.

The application for the 2026 Teamsters Scholarship Fund is now open!

High school seniors from the Class of 2026 who are the financial dependent of a Teamster in good standing are encouraged to apply for the scholarship by April 1, 2026. Scholarships are available for use toward a four-year college or university degree as well as training and vocational programs that are related to work in a Teamsters-represented industry, class, or craft.

Amid breaking news tonight of a UPS plane crash at the Worldport facility in Louisville, the Teamsters Union is monitoring this developing tragic event on the ground. As this horrific scene is being investigated, prayers on behalf of our entire International Union are with those killed, injured, and affected, including their families, co-workers, and loved ones. The Teamsters will provide additional details as they become available.
