First presented in 1986, the Festival of Trees, created by Council of 101, is a premier holiday event in Orlando, enjoyed by more than 20,000 people each year, in mid-November. The Orlando Museum of Art is transformed into holiday showcase featuring beautiful designer inspired Christmas trees and vignettes, holiday wreaths and exquisite gingerbread houses. Special events include our Opening Night

Gala, our family-friendly Reindeer Romp and our Breakfast with Santa. Enjoy a bite to eat in our Festival Cafe or watch our daily entertainment provided daily by local area dance groups and choirs. Trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses and decorative accessories for your home or office are available for purchase.

Every July the Council of 101 has a summer luncheon! ☀️🥗🍷It’s one of our most elaborate “meetings” of the year where we reconnect after our summer break, chat about our vacations and families and ramp up our energy for Festival of Trees planning!

This year, each table was designed and decorated by fellow 101ers…these photos are just a sample of the talent we have in our organization!

We love a party but rest-assured we are already down to business about FOT. Our 30+ committees have been established and are busy behind-the-scenes!

A new chapter begins! 💙

The Council of 101 2026–2027 Board of Directors recently came together for our annual Planning Retreat—a day filled with inspiration, collaboration, and excitement for the year ahead.

As volunteers , we're already planning, and preparing for two of our signature events—Festival of Trees and Art in Bloom—each bringing together art, creativity, philanthropy, and thousands of visitors in support of the museum.

We are looking forward to making a year of difference , together. Stay tuned... the best is yet to come!

It was a lovely celebration yesterday announcing the results of our volunteer efforts this past year as we proudly presented our record gift of $575,000 to Orlando Museum of Art Executive Director Cathryn Mattson.

Thank you to all of our members and supporters whose dedication, generosity, and passion made this extraordinary contribution possible. We look forward to another year filled with the same spirit of service, community, and friendship.

As our new Board of Directors was installed for the 2026-2027 year , we were also excited to announce the dates for the 2026 Festival of Trees, “40 Seasons of Joy,” November 13–22, 2026. Mark your calendars!
