Thank you to our Supporting Sponsors, FAIRWINDS Credit Union, Shutts & Bowen LLP, and SouthState Bank, for standing with us as we celebrate 15 years of hope, housing, and dignity!

Your support of the Transforming Lives Breakfast helps ensure that every neighbor who walks through our doors is met with compassion, resources, and a clear path toward stability. Since 2011, we've been East Orlando's only drop-in resource center for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Partners like you are the reason that work continues.

We're so thankful for your generosity and for believing in what's possible when neighbors take care of their neighbors.

DUDA has blessed Samaritan Resource Center with a gift of $1,000, given to wherever the need is greatest. Their philosophy for giving back says it all: "We multiply and share God's blessings." This gift multiplies hope for our neighbors experiencing homelessness right here in East Orlando.

Because of partners like DUDA, we can keep walking alongside our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and care, doing our best to meet whatever need shows up at our door.

Thank you, DUDA, for being part of this journey with us. 💙

To our Signature Sponsors, AdventHealth and Diversified Window Solutions: thank you for walking alongside our neighbors this year.

Fifteen years ago, Samaritan Resource Center began as a collaboration of churches and organizations showing up together to respond to the needs of those experiencing homelessness. Your generosity as a Signature Sponsor of the Transforming Lives Breakfast helps us continue this mission, funding case management, mental health counseling, street outreach, and job training for the neighbors who need it most.

We are so grateful for your partnership and for your trust in this mission. Thank you for helping us build a community where every person is seen with dignity and given the opportunity to regain stability for their lives.

We shouldn't still need a day like this. But we do.

That's why Samaritan Resource Center is joining hands with Orange County and STEPS, Inc to host International Overdose Awareness Day on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 9am–2pm at 9837 E Colonial Dr, Orlando.

STEPS, Inc will bring their mobile unit right to us, offering our neighbors:
🧡 FREE Narcan (naloxone) kits
🧡 FREE substance use & mental health screenings
🧡 FREE HIV & STI testing
🧡 Immediate access to MAT (medication-assisted treatment)

We'll also pause for an Overdose Memorial, holding space to remember the loved ones we've lost and to recommit ourselves to protecting the ones still with us.

Recovery is possible. Hope is real. No one has to walk this alone - we're here to walk alongside you, every step.

Let's build a community where fewer lives are lost. 25 Years On. Still Needed.

Grateful for our community! 🙏

Huge thanks to Light Orlando powered by Åcahand Foundation for the gift of 24 boxes of food through their Hunger Project: One Million Meal Build! This gift will stock our pantry and help us serve daily hot meals to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

As Light Orlando says: alone we can shine bright, but together we shine a light the world can see. Thank you for illuminating hope through action alongside us. 💙

🪴We love seeing our plants out and about!

Before the school year started, a local teacher purchased Seeds of Hope plants to use in her classroom.

Seeds of Hope is one of our social enterprises enabling those experiencing homelessness to grow, tend, and sell plants as part of their own journey toward stability. 100% of sales go directly to the clients who worked on the plants.

This teacher's thoughtfulness means that students walk in each morning to a little bit of green growing right there among them.

Thank you for seeing the beauty in what our neighbors are building. 🌱

All 50 kids were ready for their first day. ✏️🎒

Back in July, we shared how Commissioner Mayra Uribe and several generous donors helped us collect the first wave of backpacks for our bridge housing families. Today, we get to celebrate the rest of the story, because every single one of the 50 kids in our bridge housing program walked away with a brand new, age-appropriate backpack of their own.

That milestone belongs to our Board of Directors, who said yes to this drive and championed it. It belongs to Saint Joseph Catholic Church, whose generosity went far beyond backpacks. They provided a surplus of school supplies and gift cards their church had collected. Having these items on hand made it possible for our case managers to let parents make the call for what additional items their child needed to start the year strong. And it belongs to each individual donor who gave, whether it was one backpack or a stack of school supplies.

This is what neighbors helping neighbors looks like. A kit meets a need, but this drive let parents meet their kid's unique needs.

To our Board, to St. Joseph Catholic Church, and to every donor who partnered with us this season: thank you. You helped rebuild a little more confidence and hope.

👟 Track Shack does it again!

This week, our friends at Track Shack donated 8 big bags of shoes for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Eight bags.

This is a habit of generosity from Track Shack, built by a business and a community of customers who keep choosing to walk alongside our neighbors, again and again.

For someone rebuilding their life, a good pair of shoes is never "just shoes." Reliable shoes make it possible to walk to appointments, job interviews, and get resources without pain or embarrassment. Shoes also prevent other compounding health issues that can occur.

We are endlessly grateful for partners like Track Shack, who don't just give once and move on, but who return, season after season, because they believe, like we do, that our neighbors deserve to thrive.

Thank you, Track Shack, and thank you to every customer who dropped off a pair. You are part of the story of restoration happening right here in our community. 💙

Last Saturday, our friends from Action Church showed up and rolled up their sleeves. 🙌

They spent the morning working in our pantry and sorting donations. This quiet, faithful service is what makes sure every neighbor who walks through our doors finds what they need.

It's also a good reminder: transformation doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like sorting cans and folding clothes, one box at a time, so a neighbor can walk away with a little more hope.

Thank you, Action Church, for choosing to walk alongside our community. 🌟
