As we countdown our final day until Project Dance Orlando 2019 begins, I want to welcome another new member of our teaching staff: Eileen Houghton-Hebron who is an artist in residence at Palm Beach Atlantic University - PBA.

Please welcome Ms. Hebron as she teaches our Intermediate Ballet class this Sunday morning and take a look at her bio below so that you can get to know her before you receive from her beautiful expertise.

Eileen Houghton-Hebron, has been an Artist in Residence at Palm Beach Atlantic University for seven years, but she has taught at PBA for the past fourteen. She teaches for the American Ballet Summer Intensives. Since 2014, she has been invited by New York City Ballet’s principal dancer, Daniel Ulbricht, to teach in Saratoga, New York, for The New York State Summer School of the Arts. Additionally, she has taught over twenty-two years for the BESFI Summer Intensives, at the Seiskaya Ballet Academy. In fall of 2013, The National Dance Educators Organization invited her to present at their annual Conference in Miami. Eileen is certified in the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum from primary to professional levels. Her early training was with Marcia Lasser, of the Eglevsky Ballet, which was followed by the advanced training of Mme. Valia Seiskaya, of the National Opera of Greece. She continued her advanced training on a full scholarship at Balanchine’s School of American Ballet. There she participated in the NYCB’s Educational Outreach Lecture Demonstrations and danced principal roles in the school’s workshop performances. Mikhail Baryshnikov invited her to join The American Ballet Theatre, where she performed across the globe for the next nine years. In 2010, Dance Magazine featured Eileen’s solutions to common problems in the studio.

Team, we are a mere 2 days away from our 9th Season in Orlando and DELIGHTED to formerly introduce our Guest Artist for this year: Ann Sterling Dale.

Ann Sterling, we welcome you to Florida and look forward to sitting under your leadership and artistry.

Ms Dale will be directing our Group Dance on Friday, performing with us on Saturday, and teaching 2 Master Classes on Sunday. Please take a moment to read a little about her journey below.

Ann Sterling Dale is from Statesville, NC and graduated from Elon University with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography. Ann Sterling has performed professionally with the Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, and in New York City with The Next Stage Project and BalaSole Dance Company. She has also presented and performed her work A Battle Waged in the 2012 Young Choreographer’s Festival. Ann Sterling has performed as a company member with Ad Deum Dance Company in Houston, Texas from 2012-2015. While in Houston, she taught for Houston Academy of Dance, West University Dance Center, METdance, and the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center. Ann Sterling has choreographed HFCC Performing Arts Company’s summer productions of Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, and Beauty and the Beast in Oscoda, Michigan. Ann Sterling studied further at The Ailey School in the Professional Division Scholarship Program and performed in Matthew Rushing’s work for The Ailey School’s 2015 Winter Concert as well as his work for the Hudson Yards Alvin Ailey Project in September of 2016. Ann Sterling has performed as a member of the Tabernacle Dance Company at the 2016 Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. She has also performed and taught for Project Dance in New York City, Costa Rica, Oklahoma City, and Houston. She has her Pilates Mat 1 Certification and has taught as Faculty for the Ballet Hispánico Tap Program, The School at Steps, and City Moves Dance Studio in New York City. She is currently dancing with Zion Dance Project and is on Faculty for Epicenter for the Arts and Ingredients Dance Company and is excited about joining our Orlando event for the first time!

We are T-minus ONE MONTH from Project Dance Orlando 2019 and we are SO EXCITED to watch registrations come in that represent dancers we know and love and some newbies that we're excited to welcome!
