SBP (formerly the St. Bernard Project) has played a major role in the Hope for Stanley Program. They have provided us with the ability to connect with people in places hit hard by natural disasters who need their homes and communities rebuilt.

Since 2006, volunteers from the Institute and the DeVos Sport Business Management Graduate Program have volunteered with SBP making 59 trips, and working on 152 homes.

Following the flooding in Kentucky, SBP had people in place to help with recovery. Here is a link to information on SBP and how you might be able to help.

Shrinking the time between disaster and recovery, eliminating unnecessary suffering by helping those affected by disasters.

In 2006, Hope for Stanley (HFS) was created to help rebuild homes in New Orleans (NOLA) following Hurricane Katrina. While HFS began in New Orleans, volunteers have worked in Tuscaloosa, Long Island, Florida Pan Handle, Baton Rouge, Houston, and our home of Orlando. We have made 59 trips, and worked on over 140 homes.

We have worked in partnership with SBP (formerly the St. Bernard Project) for 15 years and will continue to do so as we, once again, turn our focus back to NOLA. Hope for Stanley is a program of the Institute for Sport and Social Justice. Our founder and President Richard Lapchick and his wife Ann, will match donations made to SBP up to $5,000. You can donate by texting IDARELIEF to 44-321 and fill out the required information. Every penny counts.

We thank you in advance for your continued support.

We would to send our heartfelt prayers to every person throughout the U.S. and around the world who have been affected by COVID-19. You are not just numbers to us. You are amazing human beings who made a difference in the world, each in your own way.

Thank you to all of the heroes on the front lines who risk their lives everyday. You are a special group of people who are caretakers and family members to each patient you care for.

We also want to thank every individual who we have come to know, who deliver the things we need with a smile on your face and a wave, making sure we have our food, medicine, and anything we need, allowing us to quarantine and keep ourselves and others safe.

We are grateful to all of you. We will never forget how you all make this world a better place and give us hope for the future. ❤️🙏

We look forward to a time when we can all come together to heal.
